not sure what you mean by "easier"

it's not particularly easy to have access to big private games, otherwise all private games would be filled with good regs, they're not

also you have to travel for that if you don't live in a big city where there are big private games, it's a pain in the ass

Not private games. Public games in casino. I know they are drying up now but 2013 we’re still very good. Pandemic really killed the bigger public games. People got used to private and /or curated games while casinos were closed or poker was very restricted.

I thought playing perfect GTO was only a good thing if your opponents were also playing perfect GTO. It's a good baseline strategy, just like any solver, but if it can't adjust to opponent leaks/weaknesses, then it's leaving money on the table, no?

Only if you adjust better than EVERYONE on the table in the current hand. Otherwise your exploitive play gets exploited.

Somewhat relevant to this discussion, GTO Wizard has a tool that let's you check whether a specific board was solved within a certain time interval:

So I imagine if you expect someone cheating via using GTO Wizard as RTA specifically, their tool could help you test that hypothesis, but I have not tried it out myself. Looks like this is geared toward postflop play however, and the video only seems to be checking preflop ranges.

you seem to think poker = texas holdem.

Holdem is just one of the many variants of poker.

Fortunately us poker players that prefer other variants are not too worried about cheating. Collusion maybe. But it's quite easy to spot this and avoid it and we also get to enjoy higher winrates.
