Just because the floor and the host can use tactics to manipulate the list doesn't mean that they are not violating the rules. They are not honestly enforcing and respecting the list and instead is manipulating it to hand pick who gets in. There's no transparency whatsoever in how they manage it. So yes, they are actually doing something illegal but there's no mechanism to provide evidence for it.
On the other hand, I am definitely in agreement that pros have a duty to give additional value to the rec players but at the end of the day, the fact that they are hosting this game in a casino with clear cut rules for seating trumps that argument. Not sure why there's such hate against Merson for voicing criticism about being deprived of What he is legally entitled to. Anyone on this thread that actually has the resources to play that game would sing a different tune.
