Yeah now I see why it's impossible or was close to it even before they started, and if not impossible then borderline self destructive for a guy not used to lifting like Jamie with mental issues and smoking on top
Doesn't this kinda discredit their coach, they must've consulted him and Jamie was in euphoria, but a professional should've known better how much harder than 3:1 it is right after the rapid weightloss shock and agree to dexa on top
you cant say that, Matt seriously worked out for over a year and Jamie .... hmm maybe....
.... after some months adaption to training (motorics and joints), the gains you can make within one year with the right workout and nutrition knowledge are crazy ...... and well within the targets of the bet (still in no way easy to achieve)
..... honestly I am not sure if Mike Vacanti is the perfect coach, he might lack some experience due his age and tend to high volume training instead of high intensity due to his boxing background....
..... imo its all about high intensity training with a moderate volume and careful rest times .... good resources are bodybuilding.com and HIT (high intensity training) books
Just for info: I am well in my forties, have trained for decades, gained 10+ kg of muscles or lost 10+ kg of fat within months several times in my life and my ex-wife was a pro bodybuilder and trainer over decades.
