Lol. People don't get it.. They (all of them, Bill too) ****ed up when they said 10% body fat on a dexa scan. Basically all of them probably wanted to bet on *what a physique looks like when caliper testing says 10%* and then went "but lets do dexa scan because it's the most accurate measurement" - not realizing that a dexa puts everyone MANY percentage points higher.

I mean this is pretty much over right? Jaime is posting about going on walks recently and does not seem committed to lifting or even starting running. He'd have to starve himself which I do not see him doing. Matt on the other hand seems like he is capable of getting below the 10%. Their trainer posted a picture of Matt shirtless and the guy is fairly shredded right now. He is still most likely in the 20% BF range; Jaime on the other hand has to be at 35%ish now just judging by his pics. Time to buyout in my opinion. Feel bad for Matt on this one as the guy seems committed and capable of doing it.

I am sure Jamie lost his motivation the moment he got a kinda cute gf ........... but looks like he might have troubles to stay attractive enough for her....

Eh no need to be mean about it. Plus, I think she was with him when he was at his heaviest and get's to travel the world with him (who seems like a nice enough guy other than shilling for PokerStars). She also doesn't seem to have to work other than as his social media manager which can't be that time consuming.

Can they realistically buyout now somehow for a lower % than the 50k?
He has mental issues that's pretty clear, if I were him I'd do anything I can to try to buyout at a lower amount now, and get therapy or anything else to just steady a lifestyle for the long run, it's still gonna be very -ev to have that pressure on him for another 5 months even though he's "given up"

They probably can, Perky doesn't care about that 50k probably and will throw them a bone, but if it were someone else, no way. There's absolutely no way they are winning this bet.
I was aware of this bet, but didn't know they only got 3 to 1. This was free money to Perky IMO. There are so many factors you have to count to get to 10 pct. It's not about training and eating right, there's much more. I kinda think they just jumped on the bet without thinking much. They should've taken a break and checked how their bodies reacted to this previous bet. At the moment they got burnt, because as Jaime said, he put on significant amount of weight after the weighing and some new issues occured(anxiety etc.11).
Really sad to watch this video though, you can see he is hurting and feeling v v bad. Hope he keeps going and finishes with his head up.

They should renegotiate into a deal where Matt's side of this bet is still on (it's a legit sweat tbh), and Jaime's bet turns into something else or a new bet entirely. How about him getting back to sub 190lbs before the end of the year and then never going over it throughout 2019? That'd solidify his a new healthy weight and lifestyle more permanentely instead of the destructive pattern he has been in since forever and even until now and continuing with this bet. It definitely wouldn't be easy, ultimate sweat 1 ended at 188lbs I believe, and he would have to keep a mean weight of like 180lbs to not have daily/weekly fluctuations risk take him over 190.

Only way to change are permanent lasting habits, that you do for yourself without timeframes really.

You saw the video - he had all sorts of Yoyo effect smoking and anxiety come up after finishing the first one. For Jamie the right thing is no bets at all, live healthy because he likes himself not because of outside pressure.


I really like the Matt part though - I'm like 93% sure Bill would agree if Matt does the sub 10% he'd at least get to keep his own 25k!

yeah not paying up when hes <1% to win would look really really bad, especially when you consider he just made 150k off of Perkins last year and had no problems with accepting the full amount.

Gotta say, I feel pretty bad for Matt here. Must be tough to lose that much money (which I assume is a large percentage of his net worth) if he manages to keep his side of the bet. I know Jaime mentioned some reasons for not keeping his side, but to gain 45lbs in the first 7 months of a bet when he realistically had to be on the go from Day 1 is inexplicable to me considering how much money they both have on the line.

guys, don' feel bad for Matt, he had to do the american lifestyle (basicly eating trash every day) for a year and got 75k for it in the first bet. don't blame the fat guy for this recent loss, what he did in the first bet was way harder than Matthew's part and they split the profits equally so he made his brother bunch of money in the first place.

dunno if you checked the final numbers but:

he gained 4.4 pounds/month for 6500$ monthly compensation, thats more than generous.

losing 10 lbs/m cannot be easier for an entire year given Jaimes ****ty work ethic and lack of discipline in general, it shows by how hard he punted this 2nd bet now he has a little more money to his name. it had to be a nightmare for him forcing himself to do healthy things.
