The march 25th date has past so the brother's have officially lost this bet. The only question is did Bill let Matt off the hook for his 25k or not

Everyone knew exactly what would happen the moment the bet ended.. they should have made another bet involving Jaime's weight as opposed to the ridiculous body fat % one but at the end of the day you cant just keep throwing money at him he has to learn somewhere along the line. It's not as if he really wanted to lose weight else he'd have done it years ago, there's no will power there. it was just the money incentive and who can blame him. You'd think he'd at least try though for his gf.. she's a good catch for him. But w/e I like Jaime and he can do and eat whatever he wants if he's happy.

I always hated the second bet.

Instead of a certain body fat % for Jamie, it should have been about longevity. Say he had to keep the same weight (+/- 10lbs) for 2 years getting weighted once a week and posting it online. As these bets have shown reaching a certain weight for one weigh-in is more than possible. But for real change, it's about consistency over the long haul.

Still firmly believe this was Perkins being a boss and knowing they thought they could accomplish almost anything with their body morphing at that particular point in time. Jamie will weigh more than his initial starting weight in another year. His motivators were money and getting a girl. He got both and found life to be reallllly comfortable. Tough to find a radical life transformation when you are really liking your current one.

Man I hadn’t heard about the second bet until now. I went and watched that video he posted months back about failing. Absolutely disgusting what he’s doing to his brother.

If my brother and I made a bet like that and I was sabotaging it while my brother was trying his best I wouldn’t be able to look myself in the mirror if I made him pay up. His half would have to come out of my pocket for me to sleep at night. Complete scumbag move, especially him asking his brother on camera if he was pissed about the money. What is he suppose to say?

Perkins has no obligation to help either of them out. If Jamie had any dignity he would be willing to pay a large portion of his brother’s half, 100% if it if his brother actually completed his half of the bet.

I just can’t imagine screwing my own brother like that by not even attempting to hold up my end of the bet.

Hindsight is always 20/20 but a bet like Jamie not gaining more than 20 pounds and being able to run a half marathon and Matty running a marathon in a specific time would have been much more realistic.

Personally would feel the same if I cost my brother probably a large amount of their net worth. I think Matt was a 90%+ favorite to get there and would have if Jaime hadn't given up. The kid put on 50lbs in a year for the first bet; he has some willpower in him for sure.

Have they ever actually said the bet is over? Pretty much a month into the bet, everyone realized there was no chance. I also just noticed that coincidentally, Mike Vacanti doesn't make YouTube videos anymore either.

Yes they said the bet is over and I’m assuming they paid. Probably didn’t make a public spectacle out of it because it was probably a tad embarrassing at how they were not even close. Mike has gone long stretches without posting in the past and has said that he’s not sure how motivated he is to continue making vids. The guys business seemed fine before the bet and I’m sure he’s still doing fine. He is still semi private coaching Gary V which Is better than what 90%+ of us are doing.

I'm guessing they complained to Bill and he let them out.

losing a bet is not embarrassing, losing a bet and not paying up on it is.

I think the reason Jamie has stayed silent through this is because Bill let them off the hook.

Someone asked him in his twitch about it the other day and he ignored the questions. Pretty pathetic to advertise prop bets when you win them but go silent when you lose them. He loves to pretend hes the friendly good guy but that turns so easily when you lose.

Sooo ignoring a question about losing a bet=not being a friendly good guy

Bet you're great fun at parties

its rude, and shows his true colors, hes only nice and friendly when it suits him. When he loses its all hush hush lets pretend it never happened. He announced the bet so he should announce the results not just run off lol.

as someone who is naturally chubby but has been both obese and bodybuilder lean, I knew this bet was a total loss as soon as they booked it. After a year of dieting at what im assuming was about 1600 cals a day at the low, you are literally starving 24/7. You cant sleep because of the hunger, you literally have dreams about food every night. The food you do get to eat becomes bland and unsatisfying. You also deplete your body of leptin, the hormone that regulates your hunger so once your willpower inevitably caves, you are a bottomless pit. Once the first bet was over that first cheat meal set off the avalance effect im sure...and i cant blame him, ive been there. After my first competition where i dropped to about 8% bodyfat, i managed to gain 25 lbs back the next month and balloon back up to 15-16% all while continuing to lift. The real mistake was booking a bet like this. If he really wanted to double it down he should have taken a small stack of steroids so he could eat reasonably high cals and actually pack on muscle while getting leaner.
