I found this game to be the most interesting of the 10 AlphaZero VS Stockfish games published it just fells like Stockfish can never gain any momentum and AlphaZero every single move serves a multi layered purpose insanely interesting to watch AlphaZero . . .

Just to play Devil's advocate, you're right in principle but there are some tiny bits of imperfect information in Chess. You can't assess some positions without knowing history of past moves.

For example,
* Black to play
* Black has a pawn in f4
* White has a pawn in g4

In that example it matters if White's previous move was g4 and it would allow Black to take "en passant" in g3.

There are some much rarer cases where it looks like one side can castle but it turns out they already did before and somehow the pieces ended up in castling position later in the game. You need to know if that side has castled already to know the full game state and available moves.

Of course those are very easy to handle for chess engines and are not enough to re-qualify Chess as a game of imperfect information.

you can't play devil's advocate on a definition, every perfect-information game is a game of perfect recall.

That's true, but we assume that previous action and rules of the game are known to all players.

To make an even easier example, in a round based game the AI also has to know if it's their move or not. Otherwise they would either wait to eternity to see if the other player moves or risk moving out of turn.

Quick progress in multiplayer videogames.

These AIs get superhuman by playing millions of games vs itself quickly and using evolution to improve. It seems like we will probably see a AGVI in the next 5-?? years; a artificial general videogame intelligence, a robot that u can give any new videogame that comes out and he will become the best in the world at it quickly.

This will be super interesting in itself but videogames are different than real-life tasks as u can not practice them in faster then real-time. Lucky for us because otherwise it would be over very quickly.

I`d guess that Bots are a big issue in E-sports, now that there`s money to be made there.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if they are working on poker AI too.
Demis Hassabis plays poker himself and has played the odd tournament at the WSOP most years recently although he hasn't cashed in a while. He was certainly there this summer.
