WSOP licensed their brand and I imagine that licensing deal includes some % of the rake from the WSOP-branded events.
It's a joke that WSOP decided to go with GGPoker, who have had a ton of server issues without all the extra traffic that the WSOP series would generate. It should've definitely have been run on PokerStars, but GG likely offered a better deal and money talks.
