Garrett now has a perfect out. He can claim he knew there was cheating based on recent drama and assumed that Robbi was part of the ring and that his struggles with mental health cause him to be overly certain. He's correct in the broad sense for his ego and can now get back into the juicy games

WTH are you talking about? It's Garrett who is masterminding the cheating ring to take out Wes and Airball! He knew he could make a killing by suckering people into thinking he was the innocent during the HCL blowup.

I know for a fact, because there is non-zero chance that it's possible.

Sweet, I just collected on a nice bet that some overzealous poster would stoop to the same exact level as the poster they are trying to disparage and act like a 12 year calling some random dude on the internet names, like the childish 'libtard' name, lol. Thanks!

BTW - I hate extremists, so I despise both political groups, go figure.

Or maybe he un-retires and just blocks nonsense from a nobody who tries to troll him on Twitter. That seems like a reasonable middle ground solution to me.

Well count me in the I think Robbi did cheat camp and Garrett did nothing wrong, so happy to see him come back.

The thing is he isn't just blocking people who are nasty or vulgar. He just wants an echo chamber and people to kiss his ass on Twitter.

So what? Relating a decision to come out of retirement to blocking someone on X is nonsense.

Ignoring why he "retired" and the reasons he is blocking anyone on Twitter is inane

He retired because he lost a hand, couldn’t handle it, and went full blown “Beautiful Mind” where it all became one big conspiracy theory. You could see it in his bug eyes darting around on the stream.

Is it, though? Doesn't really seem like it. Obsessing over the supposed motivations, mindset and timing of a return to action by a professional poker player seems a bit more inane.

I do not take issue with his initial response. I was watching the stream live and immediately assumed something was crooked. Bart Hanson was the commentator that stream and also recognized something was off.

Even though I lean toward Robbi cheating, I do take exception to Garret's subsequent actions. His most recent post would worry me if I were close to Garrett. No issue if he wants to take a break from the game to get in a better headspace, but continuing to reference evidence that is forthcoming a year after the fact indicates to me that he is still unhinged due to the J4 hand. Well past time to move on.

Kinda hard when any post you make is met with the "have you paid that woman her money back yet?" crowd

Totally agree and everyone needs to move on. The only person who should be asking about paying back is Robbi and I do not see her making much noise these days.

I think HCL has really degraded over the last year and the recent behavior/incidents are trending towards a new low. Maybe the Lodge or LATB will start to get traction. I am pretty ambivalent about Garrett playing on steam again, but he is a net positive relative to many of the current players on the various streams.

Oh I don’t take issue with it whatever that entails. I just saw the footage and his brain at that point was malfunctioning

May be the first time I've seen consecutive Garret tweets without a heart emoji and a 'be better all' sign-off. Kudos to him for stepping away from the game and getting his life in order.
