I doubt it. I think eligible refers to someone who actually had a real account on Full Tilt with money on it. Some people who are busto have already said they are applying for remissions. Myself and most logical thinking people think they won't get anything. Also, some people who have never even played on Full Tilt will probably apply. Those people will be ineligible as well.

My personal, not-professional guess is that the states issue won't come up because (1) it didn't come up when Stars reimbursed its players and (2) Full Tilt was operating BEFORE any state (or federal) laws were passed, so you have funds and play pre-state laws and post-state laws and I don't think there is any realistic way to reconcile that. I would bet a ton of lawsuits and motions would be filed if they tried that.

Or is this the first step towards Remission? If so should I be looking at using the same email, same address that my FTP account was tied to, or anything of that sort?
Crap.

Good question, I didnt use same email. Gosh I'm stupid.

I think this is the equivalent of signing up for a mailing list that says "GOOD NEWS EVERYONE! You can apply for your money today" or something like that.

I called the number on their website and got no new/good information. I found it weird that the first thing she did was ask for my full name and phone number to make a "record" of my inquiry. I guess they think that will discourage us from flooding their phone lines? IDK.

The lady was nice but obviously not very knowledgeable and wasn't at liberty to share any information she might have actually had. In fact, she didn't even know the sign-up for the email list had been turned on and told me to check in next week to sign up for that list. I informed her it was on, she put me on hold and found out it was up and then told me to go ahead and sign up and just wait for new news.

I asked for a general timeline on how long to completion, no answer. I asked if they knew when we could start applying for remission, no answer.

So I expressed that there are thousands of us that have significant money tied up and have been unduly stressed for almost two years now and have been even more stressed by the fact that the people with the answers we so desperately seek refuse to share even the smallest pieces of information with us and that if they could take that into consideration going forward and share information as soon as it becomes available, that would be awesome. Then I wished her a good day and that was it.

They are lawyers being compensated for processing the claim. Everytime someone calls there is another $50 taken out of the kitty for 'processing.' Why wouldn't they make the process as long as possible? They get to rebill it all out of the settlement.
03-14-2013 , 04:41 PM
Eh, I think that has been debunked. The bidding process had to be "we will complete this remissions process for $X amount." It would make no sense at all for them to agree to something like "We will complete the process for $X PER HOUR and we don't know how long it will take"

I'm sure there are lots of things that make no sense to you. By, "them" I'm assuming you mean the DOJ. Why would they care one way or another? If X number of millions are allocated by the DOJ for the remissions process, why would they care what % of X ultimately goes to the processor, and what % ultimately goes for remissions. Why do you think the bidding process *had* to work that way? Maybe this firm said "we will charge $30 an hour" and another firm said "we will charge $35 an hour", so the DOJ chose this one. Again, this is all speculation, but it's just insane how you and others keep attributing "what makes sense to you" as how the DOJ operates. Haven't you learned anything during this process? What makes "sense to you" has absolutely no relation to this process.

wake me up when I can request my check. I'm going back to bed.

For those of us who might be shaky on our account info (since we haven't been able to log-in for 2+ years), is there a way we can download an FTP client that still works for US players to log-on, check our personal information, and see our balance (or any combo of those things)?

These questions have been asked a million times already. you cant check your balance.
03-14-2013 , 05:34 PM
SuperSwag that is false. You can view your balance, which is $0.

You can also request your account transaction history via the FTP Client. If you search around the black friday dates you will see the last transaction is the Total money in your account being removed... leaving $0.

the difficult thing is remembering your password, pin number and finding your passkey device.

I'd imagine that most of the people on that hotline are just general call script reading support personnel, so the info they have will be minimal.

You can ask whatever the hell you want, but I am pretty sure the DOJ doesn't give a rats ass what you want. You get what they want to give you.

I just filled out the email notification on their website and it said registration was successful so I guess that's up and going now. Hopefully other things go as quickly and smoothly.

The bottom line is if the DOJ would have let Stars handle the remission process we would have had are money already. How FullTilt was run to how the DOJ and the PPA handled this whole situation is like a case study in how not to do things by all parties.

Then their is Stars which is a great example of how to run a business. Sure they made mistakes but nothing they did is even in the zip code of the gross incompetence of the PPA, DOJ and past Full Tilt management..... lets see how the Garden City Group chapter of this mess plays out............

Mine doesn't say the Total Money being Removed?

I just went to "fulltiltpokerclaims.com" planning on registering for email notification. It asked for my address, but the address that I have listed with Full Tilt is no longer my address (I moved after Black Friday). Do you think it would make more sense for me to list my current address or the address that I have on file with Full Tilt?

About remission processes: You don't have to be in the exact same location, state of mind, and life situation as you were when you were defrauded. If you have a different address, email address, whatever, you will just have to prove that it was your full tilt account and that you are eligible to receive remission in order to apply. Sign up and wait, like everyone else.

The other thread is now closed. I would like to welcome everybody to the third thread in the FullTilt series. The first one lasted almost 17 months I believe and the second one a mere 7 1/2 months. Good luck to all.

Guys, read the page. You are signing up to receive email notifications. It's like signing up for a newsletter. You are not doing anything related to filing for remission. The email address you use and whether or not it was the email address you had on FTP is completely irrelevant.
