Just US players with a real money account balance on FTP as of April 15, 2011.

The bottom line is that if you didn't receive a control number, then you are likely heading for a huge fight that will end in disappointment. Sure, there will be people who have legit claims and could not be contacted by email, but if all you got is a generic email, then you need to be prepared to get tortured.

That's the way it is. A few people who did not get control numbers will have smooth sailing, but the vast majority will be put through Hell with no guarantee of anything.

Something is about to hit the fan. Chaos and major league desperation is about to unfold. Imagine those that sold their money...lol. How would you like to be a buyer of Full Tilt money and have to deal with someone who tells you that he is not getting paid? Sounds like a good way to scam, as well. Those who sold can now tell the buyer that they got ZERO, even if they get the whole enchilada.

This is why the biggest scam all along was people trying to sell their Full Tilt Money.

That's the spirit.

My analysis cannot effect the outcome. Just like when Tony G says "root for whatever you want" in that clip where Devilfish suggests someone root for a certain card. Tony G says that nothing can effect the cards, so root for what you want.

You can have wishful thinking all you want. Those who say problems are about to unfold cannot effect it in any way, either.

I beg to differ. I think GCG will not send emails with control #s to new email addresses registered on the claims web site due to the easy potential for fraud. However, for such players who no longer have their old FTP-registered email address (and therefore don't get the email with their control #), it will probably be rather easy to prove a claim. I think it would mean just the following:

1. Explain they no longer have the old email address (naming this old email address) and give the new one.
2. Provide the FTP history showing their account balance as of April 15, 2011 (request it through the FTP client).
3. Provide a scan of government ID verifying their identity corresponding to their FTP account.
4. If the mailing address has changed as well, provide some documents showing the old name and address (old bank statement, old utility bill, or such), and the same for the new address.

GCG is trying to pay everyone. Proving such a valid claim should be fairly simple.

Anyone with a claim who didn't manage to keep their old email address deserves to be put through the ringer.

Once again. Some people will have an easy time, but the VAST majority of people who thought they had big money coming, but did not get a control number, should expect to be walking down the Boulevard of Broken Dreams rather soon.

i agree with ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I'm sure that there was a vetting process whereby whoever has received their email with a petition #/control # is basically guaranteed remissions.

But guys, we're talking about FTP databases and automated emails. Both have high incidence rates of ****ing up and not getting to the correct person.

If you havent received your petition/control # and 1000% sure that you were never an affiliate you should be calling GCG tomorrow.

Yes. If I had a control number in hand, and wasn't involved in any pending withdrawals when Full Tilt shut down, and didn't do any phantom deposits, then I would be lighting up the cigar right now. Those people can order a pizza with extra toppings tonight, as they are heading for a payday. It is likely that they get exactly what they think (or pro rata share). At least they will get the most they could possibly get.

One of the problems is that until all of these lame requests are sorted out from those who didn't get a control number, and until all of the lawsuits from red pros, affiliates, etc., are settled, then they won't know how much is in the pool to pay out.

2016 is when the money will be paid, whatever it is.

I got the email, but it was sent to my spam and I accidentally deleted it, and now I can not get it. How do I go about getting my info?

Has anyone received an email with the control # to a new email address registered with GCG? If not, this may mean that GCG is only sending the "process has begun" email to such new addresses, and sending the control # email only to the original FTP registered email address. This would be bad for anyone who no longer has their original email address as they will be forced to submit a new claim without a control #.
I got the email with the claim number at my address listed on my FTP account and the generic one at the address I gave the GCG. I think your theory could def be correct.
09-17-2013 , 08:46 PM
i also got my control/petition# from my FTP email.

i also signed up for the GCG emails (to the same address as FTP email) and dont have the generic update email

I'm curious to see what my balance is, since I was able to make about an additional $1k or so after Friday the 15th...they forced the few of us left who hadn't logged out to update @ Monday or Tuesday.

Also, what time Friday, if Saturday-Mon/Tues doesn't 'count'? That's a pretty big swing for me early vs late on Friday....

Has anyone received the control number email after receiving the generic email?
09-17-2013 , 08:53 PM
Just checked my history (transactions)
Last deposit 4/11/11
Last rakeback 5/20/11 Why so late ? Rakeback pros were paying out once a month
Also 5/10/11 cask $5 dont know where thats from.
As for account history, I keep trying to click it but the browser doesn't open it and nothing happens. Anyone have that problem? Do you know a way around this?

Im getting the feeling I didnt ever deposit on FT. Anyone else just realizing that? I got an email from GCG but it was the generic one basically saying I will need to file again.

account history is in excel format
tournament tickets, t$ were converted to cash in May and transferred into our accounts, as well as whatever Rush promo it was. Also rakebackpros was late to pay out because "We regret to inform you that due to recent actions by the U.S. government, Full Tilt Poker is still unable to facilitate 'real money' play, deposits, or withdrawals by players based in the United States, including the processing of any pending rakeback payments."

Not positive, but pretty sure I never did, but I got a control number and all that.
09-17-2013 , 09:01 PM
How do you get a control number? File on the 18th?

I got the generic remission letter so wouldn't I get a control number along with it?
09-17-2013 , 09:01 PM
Has anyone gotten an email recently? Are the initial ones still going out?

Yes. Here's info we sent the membership yesterday:

On September 16th, Full Tilt Poker Claims Administrator Garden City Group began emailing notices to all U.S. Full Tilt Poker victims who are potentially eligible for remission. They are emailing notices today and tomorrow. Those receiving notices can file for remission starting 9/18.

The Notice provides instructions for filing petitions online through the Full Tilt Poker Claims Administration website. If you do not receive an email notice and you believe you are eligible to participate in the remission process, you can file a new petition online using the online filing tab on the left sidebar of the GCG Claims website, www.fulltiltpokerclaims.com, beginning September 18, 2013.

The PPA recognizes that a variety of questions will arise from this long-awaited process, and we stand ready to help our members. In the coming days, we will make available on our repayment center website an information guide that will help affected poker players navigate and understand the claims process, and (we hope) obtain all funds due. Our team will also be available to answer questions PPA members may have with the claims process.

Beginning September 16th, if you have a question regarding the claims process we ask that you email us at repayment@theppa.org. When emailing us, please keep in mind the following:
  • Priority in responding will be given to 2013 dues paying PPA members.
  • Include your full name and the email address associated with your PPA membership.
  • Please attach any supporting documents – emails, screenshots, etc. -- that will help us understand any issues, concerns or questions arising with your FTP claim.
  • Please understand that any response the PPA provides is purely informational. We are not providing legal advice, and you should not rely on any information we provide as a substitute for legal advice. There may be tax, or other legal ramifications that relate to your claims, and if you want advice specifically tailored to your situation, you should retain your own attorney.
  • If you provide us information, we may share that information with the Claims Administrator, but will do so only to help pursue your claim and/or other, similar claims by poker players. Thank you for your patience as we work to provide you with the most accurate information to help you.
The PPA is pleased that affected poker players will soon be reunited with their funds and we will continue to play an active role in working with the Department of Justice and Garden City Group to streamline the claims process and provide information to our members.

Proud to Play,

Poker Players Alliance
