Oh hey. What's up Howard?
08-11-2013 , 03:36 PM
Sigh, so I requested my history for the two months up till black friday and the two months after. I had a wire that never showed up, and a check that bounced, and neither got credited back in to my account. Final adjustment was end of may for some random affiliate disbursement. Probably a delayed rakeback payment or something.

Here's to disputing balances!

For emphasis:

Sigh

You can buy their balance if you want, but all Americans who have not emigrated have a zero balance at the moment. So don't pay too much.

If you want to purchase whatever remissions a former FTP customer may eventually get from the DOJ because of fraud, which is most likely what you are asking, I haven't heard about any particular legal obstacles. It's a transaction between you and that person, and the DOJ, FTP, and other third parties are not directly involved. Just write up a contract to cover the contingencies.

GCG, working with the Asset Forfeiture Unit of the United States Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York and the Asset Forfeiture and Money Laundering Section of the United States Department of Justice, has completed the review of data provided by Full Tilt Poker ("FTP"). It has been determined that the calculation formula to be used for the Petition for Remission process will be based on players' final balances with FTP as of April 15, 2011 (the "FTP Account Balances"). The claims process will begin shortly. Once the process begins, GCG will email instructions on how to complete an online claim to all potentially eligible claimants identified by GCG utilizing data supplied by FTP. Account balances from online poker sites other than FTP are not included in this remission process. Petitioners must also meet all other requirements outlined in 28 C.F.R. § 9.8 to be considered eligible for remission.

If you do not receive an email notice and you believe you are eligible to participate in the remission process, you may file a claim online using the directions that will be provided on this website.

If the forfeited funds available for distribution equal or exceed the aggregate FTP Account Balances for all eligible Petitioners, each eligible Petitioner with an approved claim will receive the entirety of his or her FTP Account Balance. If the aggregate FTP Account Balances for all eligible Petitioners exceed the funds available for distribution, payments shall be made to eligible Petitioners on a pro rata basis.

Please continue to check this website for updates regarding this administration.
1) DAFUQ does that mean?

2) DAFUQ does that mean?

3) Have people been receiving email notices, up to this point?

Just to be clear, I have no idea whats going on, and I only checked this thread because at a party on Saturday one of my silly bitch drunk friends started telling me for the 500th time that "duuuudddeee they're givviinnnn all the FT monies back like tomorrow brehhhhhh", which I gave bout 0 to 1% credibility, but that was enough to make me check this stupid ass thread again real quick cus I can't sleep.

This seems legit?

1) There is supposed to an announcement this week as to when the claims process will start. As to what "begin shortly" means, well.........................

2) Actually the answer to this and all other questions you may have has been provided by the poster 1938ford. Look for his posts of the last week or so and you should be up to speed.

3) Nobody has received any email notices up to this point.

Hopefully when they make the announcement this week, fingers crossed, they will also give more detail but they may not till the process starts. The general timeline is that once the process starts you will have 3 months to file a claim. Then payments will go out. Since they have enough money to cover all claims you would think that the payments would happen "shortly" after the claims period closes. 1938ford has researched remissions processes similar to the FTP case and it has taken close to a year for the payments to go out if I remember correctly. Again read his posts.

In other news the reason I am up at this hour is that I did not sleep as I have been up with Sugar all night. It does not look like any sleep will be forthcoming. Also Sam's brother Nick is quite sick so now I have 2 ankle bracelets.

Spoiler:

Wait, that would require you defrauding him and stealing all his money.

No problem. Just claim you don't recall doing it. Easy game.

So if the funds exceed player balances then we receive our balance. If funds do not exceed balances then we get paid a %.

Fairness goes both ways.

I.e. they are trying to find new ways to **** us
