Just something to keep in mind.
Another reason why this forum makes me giggle on an otherwise sh***y morning.

$600 doesnt even register for 1-2 online pros...oh, I cant wait to see the zings on this one....oh boy!

Really, its an entirely different world from recreational player, to semi-pro players like myself, to grinders, to high stakes winners....

I can't work out who's being sarcastic and who's serious in this thread....

While painful surely losing 3bi is pretty standard in a bad session.

One person touched on bankroll in the whole thread. While OP doesn't state his, it might be something to look at as I suspect the $800 hes up is the whole roll. To avoid the worst downswings variance will bring and the induced poor play it will add to your game you need a roll of 4k to not go broke. If your roll is $800 you should drop to nl50 now.

Whats with everyone in this thread blindly believing that OP's story is true? A 300bb downswing? Yeah, and I won the powerball lottery 3 times in a row.

Graphs or GTFO.

OP, I know you're getting flooded with lots of sarcastic responses in this post. The reality is that for your average player (which you say you are), poker is hard. And it's getting harder as time goes on. Trying to win against opponents you have no skill edge against is only half of what makes the game hard.
Don't put any expectations(or meaningful money) on the game and you'll be happy win or lose.

Reevaluate. Make sure you're not deluding yourself, saying they were coolers when they were marginal plays.(Not calling into light your play, just saying that at times this is what people will do)

Bad luck happens, we've all had it... You have to deal with it in your own way. Some of us self-ban and reevaluate, others just continue to play through it. You need to find something to help you get through it, if you live and die for poker you'll find yourself dying a lot more then you need to.

It's usually a cyclical cycle that you go through with running bad, You run bad for a few hands, then because of the lose of confidence you play bad, cursing every idiot with An ace against your kings.

Good luck at the tables though.

I noticed this too and it's very strange. The tournaments and lower stakes games are still fishy, but $1/$2 NL ring and up is just a bunch of regulars (lots of decent LAGs if you can believe that!) multi-tabling like crazy, trading pots back and forth with each other, and splitting up the funds of the few bad players. The full ring games might play a bit software than the 6-handed, but there aren't many of those that run. As for 6max $1/$2 and up, there's usually 1 below average or god-awful bad player at a table, and 5 rather good players. You're struck gold if you find a one of those tables with 2 or more below average/bad players.

Maybe things will change when playersonly joins... one of the smaller sites already joined and it seemed like the site got fishier for a couple weeks, then it went back to "usual".

**As for the OP... good god man, I've gone on streaks where I've won/lost 10 buy-ins in just a few short sessions, and I'm definitely a winning player long term (although it doesn't feel like it when you're running bad!).
