Full Tilt update 7-28-2015

So I'm a nlh cash player and so far what I've noticed is that you can no longer seat select, hu cash is gone, and all draw/stud cash games are gone... this imo is the worst update ftp has ever made. They've been making these updates for the past 3 months just ruining their whole software and they're also ruining their rewards program.

Will reg tables be as hard as zoom now? or will this be an incentive for the regs to switch sites and there will be a better reg-fish ratio, thoughts?

FT will fully switch to the recreational players model, which is imo a good thing (not saying that i think every change is good in particular) .... there's also a thread for this topic

Re: Full Tilt update 7-28-2015

There is a thread in Internet Poker for feedback on this
https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...&postcount=115

It is clearly news though so no harm in a thread in NVG imo.

The rewards program is getting a revamp in due course too, some really cool stuff in that update imo.

Can't talk about the details of the changes I'm afraid, sorry.

Quote from Shyam in the Internet thread :

''As Dominic mentioned in his first post linked above, the entire rewards program will be changing. There are a fair number of ideas in this rewards change that (as far as I know) haven't been tried before. Lots more info to come on this.''

At most stake levels it is the same I believe, after the recent rake changes mentioned in the previous update the micro rake (up to 10nl) at FT is now higher than at Stars.

Disclaimer: I don't keep up to date with changes at Stars so if they have made semi-recent changes to their rake the above may not be accurate.

Completely removing a game type without even trialling some lobby changes is pretty LOL in my opinion.

Agreed. I'm just going to sit back and enjoy watching the butthurt rakeback grinders cry over the fact that sites aren't going to help them destroy the poker ecosystem anymore.

As a player, you can choose your game type and preferred stakes and be instantly seated at a table, getting straight into the action. It keeps things fun, fast and simple. Tables will be merged if and when two or more become shorthanded. This new system will ensure that your success is determined by your talent at the table, not your skill in choosing opponents.

In addition to these changes, we’ve decided to remove Heads Up tables from our ring game offering. We’re doing this for two important reasons; firstly, Heads Up games were being adversely impacted by the minority of experienced players who targeted ‘weaker’ opponents rather than take on all challengers, and secondly, new players who tried out the Heads Up games found it intimidating and confusing (asking themselves “why are all these guys not playing each other?”). Unfortunately, these table selection changes didn’t fix this problem so in Heads Up we had no choice but to remove them altogether, as we know the more new players that play it, the less likely they are to return and keep playing. In short, Heads Up ring games just didn’t form part of a healthy poker ecosystem, which made our decision to remove them easier.

We are also removing nosebleed stakes, Stud, Draw and Mixed Game ring game tables. The new structure will present a clean offering for all players and we consider these ring game changes to be key to Full Tilt’s ongoing commitment to provide a level playing field and attracting and retaining more casual poker players.

nvm I found the answer

Weíre reinventing our rewards programme so that itís genuinely attractive to all players, not just those that play the most. Itís going to be fundamentally different from anything youíve seen before and will go to the heart of what Full Tilt stands for: playing for the love of the game.
so in other words theyre going to cut down on what they give back to players hahaha, well if their goal is to make all the regs leave I think its working

Re: Full Tilt update 7-28-2015

Full Tilt started with rush poker and most of the relevant sites followed them...maybe they can start new trend?
I'm playing for some time now on FT and this update seems pretty ok. Ring games were dying there and there was ridic bumhunting going on... also rush poker pool is so bad compared to 1-2 yrs back.

Must love this type of changes compared to rake increasing and player segregation...

Re: Full Tilt update 7-28-2015

the lobby is completely dead atm, seems like everybody just left Wish they tried HU rush before removing all hu tables

also, about "hitting the rakeback grinders" - those changes are actually good for rb grinders and will mostly affect high-winrate players, aka bumhunters

Didn't know, are they having some increase in traffic and ecosystem ( better reg/fish ratio)?

as i understood it's basically to get rid of all the spots, where reg bring out the money too fast / make it an unpleasant environment for regs

there are different approaches like anonymous tables, no waiting list, remove of specific limits/games ... others added social gaming components. can't remember the room/network, but some even told regs you win to much, pls leave.

i don't have numbers, but i'm sure it helped and keeps the money longer in the room. also if you take away benefits for regs, some of them turn into losers or leave the room so is guess the reg/fish ratio is getting better.

Dont like these updates at all. Player pool is obviously going to decrease (if not already)
