It may be the same tip Adam from the pokercast got when he tweeted he had heard a deal had been done earlier in the week.
And yea, it seems like the pertinent action for anyone with supposed insider info is to just forward it to Noah or Diamond Flush before posting anything on 2p2 and getting instantly flamed.

If Dibbla gets it comfirmed by Ifrah then it might have some substance

+1
And I hope FTP will soon be up again. Loved software, loved my rakeback and my promotions. And I hope this time there will be no way that our money will not be segregated.

Like I say I only have the email to say that it was sold to a french investor and that my friend was told by friend of a pro player. I guess the agc wants to be shown to act tough on it's decisions after the way it completely f&£@ed the whole situation up in the first place. Also they were lied to before so I am guessing they probably believe little that comes from the FTP reps but thats just my 2 pence on the issue and NOT FACT.

Seems likely that when AGCC heard their acquisition proposal they made one of their 'preponderance of evidence' conclusions that the DOJ was never going to accept it.

When do you think we could see DOJ agreeing with Tapie and eventually payouts to the players?

Will we have to wait prob for January?

Ok pming Noah now but he will have to email me as I am using an iPhone and can't upload pictures. Same issue as when I was at the agc hearing a while ago.

Does anyone know how they will discern the legit money from the phantom money?

This, they must have some sort of record on this? In that case everyone that did phantom deposits should have that amount deducted from their bankroll

It has already been explained that this does not set a precedent of any sort. I don't even know what some people around here are thinking. What could possibly be the problem of DOJ with this deal?

He wants them to go in with money aswell so it could be relevant,

I mean they have frozen over the amount to cover player funds, why do they need an investor to payout the players when DoJ already have that amount?

Ok durrr and Noah pmed. Just going on underground this second. No 3G. I have included my email for them as I can't black out the names or upload the photo on my iPhone. I trust those two so once they email me they can have the evidence.

The meeting with the DoJ is scheduled on 3rd of october IIRC, and in the interview with Laurent Tapie he stated that he hopes that the site will be up and running soonest january 2011.

in additino, he said the deal is “still a long way to go” and "We want to find ways where we don’t have to put in all the money"

But i think players will get some money back one way or other, FTP future is still not certain...

Some of the biggest and most crooked people in the world run our banking system, yet they make deals and buy and sell enormous assets and companies everyday. The world is far from perfect.

thanks for info.

ATM, The only thing that is on player’s minds is to get their money back. You will hear some thing like I would play again if blah, blah… don’t listen and believe that B$, the truth is every one will try to make withdraw as soon as there is a chance, while some might wish others would be stupid or greedy enough to make deposit and continue to play.

Therefore, any investor is a good investor.

Good luck

I will be playing on a newly run and managed FTP that has players funds secure going forward in a heartbeat.

They can't be serious?

The company didn't release terms of the deal. According to a person familiar with the matter, the current owners wouldn't get any money in the sale. They could end up with a very small stake in the company after an acquisition—but only if the Justice Department agrees to those terms, this person added. The site's owners include a number of professional poker players.
Quote:
The company is hoping the Justice Department will agree to credit the roughly $150 million it says was seized or frozen by the government that was being held for poker players by payment processors associated with Full Tilt against any money that it demands from Full Tilt.

If that occurs then the new owner would pay the U.S. players the $150 million owed to them. The owner would also pay the Justice Department an agreed settlement figure over time from revenues generated by the company if it operates again overseas, this person said.
