I may be missing something here but how is this good? Sure, there are decision makers that shouldn't be able to keep the 'blood money' if they were instrumental in the day-to-day. But guys like raptor or Greg Mueller (not sure if he was a red pro towards the end) who may have had 5-6 figures locked up should be penalized because of what was going on behind the scenes?

Goldman Sachs was hired to figure out the cash value of each FTP point. That explains the 2.5 year delay in getting paid back.

I felt this might be happening. What took the DOJ so long was they were trying to figure out how to lock up as much of this money as possible. Many of the larger rolls had deals with FT, so are they going to forfeit?

This is going to get spicy, and I wouldn't doubt it if you see some sort of litigation after this is over. Because you have an affiliate contract with FT, doesn't give you co-conspirator liability.

I'd feel better about this if the SDNY's office actually did better than 1 guilty plea. With Howard particularly, they got him for maybe 10% (and probably closer to 5%) of what he made from FT.

As always, the players will pay the bulk of the forfeiture. Outrageous. I was expecting stiff, there's a better justification for stiff than what DOJ presented, but not for this bull**** reason.

No. You are a player that was signed up by an affiliate but you are not an affiliate if you were solely the recipient of the 27%.

ROW affiliate accounts did not get their money so this is not new with respect to affiliates.

Agreed, but I am not exactly sure how they administered the players who were also affiliates in determining which funds were which. I got nothing and I have not played FT since and will never spend a nickel on that site again.
