I have played on the following accounts while being banned from FTP;

4) Yogiblair (I previously lied about this)
5) Tiptronic

lol sounds like your brother is a pretty decent theat to a poker site and has pretty easy access to your 'personal' and 'seperate' life. I would consider you having an account and your nutcase brother having access to it a considerable threat to the game

I don't think I 've ever read anything from FE that I disagreed with, the kid just nails it every time he speaks. Love amak but hate his response

This guy obviously works for Fulltilt.

Allowing him back would have been a bad enough decision on its own without this. If FT is aware of that admission then it's absolutely disgraceful

I'm not saying this is okay, just saying it's nowhere near UB/Absolute level.

But still it's ridiculous to allow cheaters play again.
They might be notable players, but still. Do actors or anyone famous are getting charged less for a murder or another crime? Don't think so.

maybe not for murder, but for lesser crimes they definitely get lighter punishment.

This is also like saying you think a serial killer should be locked away in jail forever, but you're fine with a rapist being let out because it's not such a bad crime.

Rules & laws are applied for a reason, Sorel broke the rules and hence should be banned - as seen others don't receive the same treatment as him and get the standard copy and paste from some FullTilt rep about reading the Terms and Conditions.

It would be like President Obama going and raping 15 kids, getting prosecuted for a short period of and just being let out, because he's the President.

It's so sad how far FTP security has their heads up their ***es. There is a pretty vast number of people who have been banned for absurd reasons...
Fwiw, I do think Sorel was treated unfairly and made an example of in the beginning. Buying accounts during the late stages of an mtt for the tourny equity was a pretty normal thing back then, and though we know it's cheating now, it was at the very least a grey area back then. It'd be similar to skates suddenly getting lifetime banned for ghosting one of his students. It's technically against the rules, but it's common practice.
But not honoring his ban was a mistake, and having the aim conversation about cheating was an even bigger one. Unfortunately, it's what he did after his ban that makes me think he should remain banned.

But more important is the frustration this causes the randomly banned players. I can attest that I was banned for an absurd reason (I think it was for staking my brother, who had an account a couple years back that he busted and forgot about...thus connecting me to a "multiaccounter"...but I'm not sure, because they wouldn't tell me why), and have asked for an appeal on several occasions since. Continuing to appeal and staying off the site is really was he should have done. It's a slap to the face to people like me, who are continually told that there is no due process for anyone of FTP, nor are there justifications or appeals, to suddenly see Sorel welcomed back.

At least I know that if I get some tv time, I can play rush poker again.

How much do you think Full Tilt has made seizing funds of accounts that have been made in reaction to original accounts being banned?

Full Tilt Poker: Notably inconsistent since 2004.

Thank you for your email.

Issues concerning game integrity and security are extremely important to us, and we go to great lengths to ensure that our games are the safest in the industry.

We take all the particular circumstances surrounding a player's actions when considering whether or not to suspend that play and for how long. This is also the case when we review older cases. When a case is reviewed and a ban lifted, it is by no means an indication that we condone the past actions of the individuals in question.

In regards to the lifting of the account suspension of ‘Imper1um’, we have taken many aspects of the issue into account, and did not come to the decision to reopen his account lightly. In addition, his status as a well-known player in no way affected our decision making process.

For privacy reasons we don’t discuss the details of cases like these with third parties. However, we can say that ‘Imper1um’ contacted us a little over 12 months ago requesting that we review his suspension. He was advised that we would consider his case again in another 12 months as long as he did not attempt to circumvent his suspension in any way. We fully believe that he has complied with our requests, and believe he has now served out an appropriate length of suspension.

That being said, as in all cases of this nature, we will continue to monitor his actions closely to ensure he continues to abide by all of our rules moving forwards.

We appreciate you taking the time to get in touch with us on this issue, and hope to have eased any concerns you may have had.

Its not like this at all. Its silly imo to compare mizzi to obama, multi accounting to rape, ftp rules to criminal law. That being said, still an awful decision by full tilt.
