Re: FTP Spanish players contacted by Group Bernard Tapie partner by phone

not sure how anybody could look at this as a bad sign? If in fact it is Tapie then why would he throw money out doing a survey like this if things were not progressing the way he had hoped for? I rather doubt that a survey of this size would come cheaply. A 10-15 minute phone call during prime hours from france to germany would not be that cheap ( I could be wrong)

damn should have made my post smaller or type faster--got beat to the punch--LOL

Re: FTP Spanish players contacted by Group Bernard Tapie partner by phone

It's probably nothing, but in the survey taking field, it's super bad form to ever mention to the person answering questions about results. So when the OP said that the questioner mentioned that the option about limited over time withdrawals was the option best preferred by responders, that was very odd.

Usually the only time that is done is when rather than being a true survey, the questions become a device to try and influence the audience. For example, it could be that they are trying to plant the seed about the value of limited withdrawals because that is their preferred business plan, so that if they in fact do it later, it won't come as a shock to the audience.

Not saying they were doing that; it could have just been an untrained question taker. But surveys are often a cover for influencing opinions (happens in US politics all the time--e.g. "do you think Obama's birth certificate is missing or just altered?")

Hope that's not the case here.

And I don't care if they have $50 or $5,000,000 on there. Not a ROW Vs. US just a were in this together

My Man.......What you fail to realize is in order for you to get paid the DOJ will have to OK the sale first and then they will probably say Americans have to be paid first. Its our country that has control of this situation. I fully realize we are all in the same boat, your stuck, I'm stuck. But unfortunately for you, you will probably have to wait longer than US players.

not to pit ROW against americans but I think that other governments "could" say that the US government cannot sieze money(deposited leagally) that is owed to the ROW in order to pay DOJ fines etc. Therefore freeing up our money even before the DOJ deals with the issue of the sale etc.
I just wish the DOJ would get to work dealing with this big mess and find a solution. However I think there might be other factors at play here.

BUT I still look at this as a positive and a sign that discussions are moving forward

for the record I do not see other governments getting involved, but they have in the past in other things so it is not beyond them.
I would like it solved and if Americans only get 50% then that is what I expect, no more no less AND at the same time.

Received a call today too.

Russian, never had a Black Card, have around 10k stuck there. All questions were the same, except the fact they were asked in Russian.

They "could" say that if FTP had actually segregated accounts like they were supposed to, but if that were the case ROW money would have been safe and FTP would still be up and running like Stars.

As it is nobody knows who the <$45M the DOJ seized on BF belongs to, and it's not enough to pay either ROW or US so it doesn't matter.

Guys, I think its extremely important that if you get one of these calls you answer yes to the question would you ever play on ftp again. Lie if you have to, say you really miss rush poker or the software or whatever. Its probably one of the best things you can do for poker right now. I think if they get the results of this survey and its something like 80 percent would re-deposit or play on the site again it would really go a long way to getting our money back.

Re: FTP Spanish players contacted by Group Bernard Tapie partner by phone

I think its worth mentioning that the majority of (former) FTP players WOULD in fact return to FTP if FTP returned, some might even return / resume play if they weren't paid / management remained the same.

Of course, for the vast majority of us, getting our money (or a fair % of it) would be the minimum incentive needed to return. And of course, disengaging FTP2 from FTP1's management and criminal executives would be a major incentive to return as well.

I worked for a research firm in college in the late 1990s (Wirthlin Worldwide, bought by Harris Interactive in 2004). Assuming the survey is as presented, the "survey" presented here is so far from accepted norms, you can't call it a survey. They've taken push polling and completely thrown out the survey standards.

I highly doubt that this is a training issue. From day 1 we had impartiality hammered into our head, and were randomly monitored on phone calls. We also never had access to the data results during the survey, so it would not be possible for me to tell a participant this.

So we have to presume this is the way the "survey" was commissioned.

I'm excited to hear anything at this point, but still..

Its like someone who borrowed/scammed you out of money calling and asking for more or they will break off all contact with you (again).

Does the <$45m quoted include balances 'frozen' in foreign bank accounts, which I don't believe the balances of have ever been made public?

I can't see foreign governments allowing DoJ to seize these funds, ala the Luxembourg example

I don't get it why US Players think we (ROW) could easily cashout after BF? Did you try to cashout after BF? I was able to get 2x 10K per Neteller (4 weeks each of them), a 40K Cashout has not been approved and the rest is still in limbo...i'm still missing about 20K on the way to Neteller....

Did also get this call from Germany...

Re: FTP Spanish players contacted by Group Bernard Tapie partner by phone

The question I have to ask is what licensing jurisdiction would agree to take on FTP without all the player funds being in place AND....... players funds being available for imediate withdrawal WITHOUT penalty.

What the survey is proposing is to penalize players who want THEIR money.

Surely players who want their money now should be paid and those who wait should be given an ADDED bonus to stay loyal to FTP.

To me it looks like they are trying to screw customers over before they have even opened.

Not sure how much I would trust a company that tries to screw me straight off the bat?
