So anyone who was contacted by FTP can you give us a briefing on what was asked and how long the survey was? Please tell me you guys said you would deposit and play on FTP it was relaunched?

Just curious as to the questions of the survey and what some of you answered.

I'm Canadian. Have a lot on there and haven't been contacted.

Let's get the deal done, just ignore Americans and let them get their money back.

It's hard to see the DOJ settling without requiring full payment of US players up front. If we're really lucky, they may require it ASAP and US players may get paid before FTP even reopens.


TBH, I can't have much sympathy for ROW players having to wait a bit if they had 5-figure+ balances. ROW players (a) could cash out and at least reduce their balances for months after Black Friday, while US players were stuck for their entire bankrolls overnight, and (b) will be able to use their bankrolls to actually play poker once FTP reopens.

yeah, what a great opportunity we had, to cash out just to have our bankroll stuck in "nowhere" now!!!

feels so much better to have your bankroll in "limbo" withdrawals then to have it in an unaccessable account....

so because you people (americans) broke laws to play and got nailed the ROW who were playing on a legal site LEGALLY should have withdrawn all our money from a LEGAL poker site? Nobody knew about the shortfall of cash and allot of us were trying to withdraw and now have money tied up in "pending" withdrawls

Why do these discussions always involve people turning it into a US players vs. the rest of the world fight?

- if I was aware of the rumors that "some french investors" are looking to take over FTP.
- How often/frequently I deposited when I played
- how much I approx. had locked up
- what features I liked about FTP (software/rush etc.)
- whether I played on other sites and which ones and if I was satisfied at those
- if I would ever consider playing at FTP again or what would make me play there again (I answered I'd consider it under new owners/management)
- and what cashout options discussed earlier I would be interested in and which of them I'd then prefer. Then she asked how much of a % I'd find reasonable to keep on the site when I'd prefer the installment option (cashout x% each installment period (month for instance)) and how long such a cashout in installments should take (6m-1yr)

EDIT: I have to say that the way she explained the partial cashout in % and the cashout with a penalty was very unclear to me. I asked her to repeat and re-explain but her Dutch was quite hard to understand (French/Wallonian accent) and I gave up after I understood the options a little. I started doubting he explanations of the options she explained to me when I read this OP and the options the first poster stated.

Because it benefits the FTP "usual suspects" to have their mutual victims beating each other up. Typical legal tactics to divert attention and energies. JI would understand! Sorry to sound paranoid RJ, but I believe this is often deliberate baiting on the forums!

hope this was not in responce to me. I just hate when the US players say "we should get to cash out immediately and the ROW can withdraw a bit at a time"
we are all in this the same and should be treated the same. if it comes that they only allow small withdrawls at a time that goes for EVERYBODY!
And I don't care if they have $50 or $5,000,000 on there. Not a ROW Vs. US just a were in this together
(well except for the trolls who have nothing better to do than stir the pot)

It was a generic statement aimed at everyone.

These "US players were breaking the law so **** them" vs. "ROW players could withdraw after BF so **** them" fights have been done to death, and are really outside the scope of this thread.

So let's everyone just stay on topic, and if you don't have anything to add to this discussion, either take it to the FTP containment thread (where beating dead horses is widely accepted) or just refrain from commenting at all.

Is it correct that only dutch and spanish people have been contacted so far?

Most serious pollers only contact a few hundred and usually randomly, then make a judgment on that data. So don't feel left out even if you have a big bundle. This sounds like a fairly serious effort. It is strange that no French, Italian or UK folks are included, however! Or Canadians where a number of USA players might already be or could migrate if a new FTP opens up! Don't see a downside here actully!
