Yes. This. +1. +2. +3, +Infinity. Thank you for showing me there are people who don't have their heads up their rear-end.

Also, to those of you out there who keep saying things like "TAPIE THAT SCUM HE'S GOING TO STEAL OUR MONEY!" , Tapie is the reason you might get any money at all, and potentially see that money in the next few months to a year instead of 5 years down the road after bankruptcies, lawsuits, liquidations, etc, are all handled.

Why are people so absolutely brain dead.

People from the US are slightly in biased in this regard of course. It's almost as thou history shows the DoJ never makes the players good in instances like these

What if ROW never money laundered, played legally whether online or live outside the police station....reckon we're happy with a penalty or buying into an under funded gamboooling enterprise run by an ex-con?

The DoJ and Tapie need to sharpen their pencil a little IMO

Sounds like they are calling a random cross section with regard to player balances and location to perhaps get a more clear idea of what everyone could agree on. If the people with smaller balances are willing to also take a delayed payout or % cut for immediate withdrawal it could save Tapie more money up front on top of having the large balances also compromise in a payout deal.

the reason why you cant find any trades is because the people who were interested in buying FTP monies already did months ago when it was going between 80-95c.

And since FTP server's have gone offline, there's really been no way for anyone to "verify" with any degree of certainty (outside of "vouching") how much anyone had/has on FTP, because no one can log in. This has considerably slowed down trading. Add this in with people being weary of photocopying ID's and signing contracts, buying FTP money is a complicated process.

We can sit around and give estimates as to the likelihood of Tapie's deal going through (which probably is like the 80% determinant factor in FTP value right now) but if no one wants to buy, what's to say that FTP isn't worth 1/3 of that estimate?

So yeah, it's really difficult to sell FTP money right now, you'd be hard pressed to find a buyer at 25c and the hsnl thread shows that.

Has anyone asked the person on the other end of the line how long they expect to continue doing the survey?

However, we had multiple buyers at around 0.2 in mid August, who never came back in October, which was the most optimistic month since June, considering Tapie showed up. In August we had nothing but an offline FT client!

In theory, market value should reflect the probability FT comes back and pays back everyone. But this market is a little atypical in a few ways: 1) This market is closed to poker players, the majority of who played on PS/FT/UB/AP. Those who have money stuck on FT/UB/AP will not be competitive buyers, or buyers at all, as they don't want to increase their FT variance. 2) Sellers don't share the same burdens and trust issues as buyers. Sellers expect payments upfront, buyers are exposed to additional risk of their seller not paying up. 3) Because buyers must provide funds immediately, those with funds on FT/UB/AP probably don't have money to invest in the first place. 4) Buyers must give up in opportunity costs of funds being tied up for months. This is why futures prices are lower than spot prices. The $FT is a futures contract.

I think DF was referring to the report of some kind of legal descision in Ireland against FTP and not the phone survey

Agree I think it's likely a real survey of potential future FTP players and who and how many would prefer one of the three offers. Nothing in stone of course, but this seems like a legitimate business move to me , and good news!

Another "positive " aspect is the exclusion of us USA players from the survey, who likely won't be FTP users very soon if ever! It might mean USA are in for payoffs of some kind not related to the three offers. Hell who knows though?
