This goes without saying really. Assuming everybody holds the current owners of FT in the same contempt, those with balances on FT are more likely to keep quiet in the hope that a deal which facilitates them being paid out can be struck, whilst those without balances on FT are naturally more likely to clamour for some sort of justice to be metered out to Bitar/Lederer etc, even if they are not directly affected.
Finally, those with very large balances probably have had or will have dealings with/be acquaintances of members of Team Full Tilt, and so are more likely to be circumspect in this situation.

They'll get tired of waiting eventually. I did.

No need to guess, the football club he owned were found guilty of fixing matches and relegated two divisions and he's been prosecuted for tax fraud and linked to plenty of other unsavoury scenarios. If he gets licensed it's a joke.

Still not convinced the thread title is accurate.

Look man, we're angry that apparantly a lot of people with a lot of power in the poker world were incompotent and ****ed things up, and should realise we're incompotent too and should stfu on certain matters and hope new people are in charge that are competent.

But you can't act yourself like you are a compotent decision maker. You're not. You don't know ****.

You're angry yes, why at me I don't know. I do know the history of the potential new investors so don't claim that I don't. His previous exploits were well publicised when they happened in Europe especially the match fixing scandals. Do you really think that someone involved in that would be a fit and proper person to run FTP? Would you be happy to have shares in a company owned by people with such a history? I have money on FTP but I am not so blinded by my need to get it back that I'll accept just anyone to take over.

Anyone with money on Full Tilt is obviously going to be happy with anyone taking over as it increases their chances of getting paid.

I assume US players care only what happens to Full Tilt up to the point they receive their funds back as there seems next to no chance they will ever play on Full Tilt again anyway. Poker is all about taking care of yourself, just a fact...

I disagree. Not that it would make any difference whatsoever, but if we were somehow able to fool "them" into making a -ev investment this would make us no better than Lederer et al.... and yes, I have significant (to me) $$ tied up.

another one!! then write Mr. Tapie a nice letter and tell him that if/when he buys FTP that you do not want any part of him or his money and to take you off the books as you would rather have no money. If we get eough of you to do this it will make it easier for him to pay the rest of us off at 100%

Except for a few that moved to Canada , UK and such places, yeah most USA have more intrest in recovery of BR than a future FTP reopening. Maybe some small chance of FTP in the USA in the future but not much. Hope FTP reopens for those ROW who want it

My only real interest in a new ft (other than players getting paid out, which is something I sincerely want to see) is for a good deposit bonus!!! Hopefully healthy competition for pokerstars with very good (I have heard) software (if they can get a software team that will keep up the quality of the software) won't be a bad thing either...

I responded the way I did because I am sick and tired of people with no credentials making big claims (on the internet in general). What do you know about Tapie? A few Wikipedia pages and news articles? Big ****ing woop, I guess you're an expert on the matter now. You're not. The law doesn't agree with you that someone with a shady past is forbidden to run a business. And for a good reason.

If they call me, I would say, that within the time I´ve risen in stakes, so that I am actually going to deposit at least 5K, if they are going to reopen.

And I am going to agree, that I am going to play Rush all day!

you do know that tapie group is known for rescuing distressed companies and has experience in online gaming, right? there probably isn't a more qualified group out there aside from pokerstars management.

First they asked for me by my surname, then said they were from a poker magazine, (I can't remember the exact name, something very general) and asked if I would mind answering a few questions about poker.
First they asked how much I deposited/withdrew per month. Then which sites I play on (no mention of FT up to this point). Then they asked if I had heard about what had happened to FT. I said um yeah obviously. Then they asked about rumours about the site being sold, the ways of repayment and what I thought. Would I play on FT again and what I liked best about the site.
I should have asked how they got my contact details, but it took me by surprise and to be honest I'm not really that bothered. Once she finished asking questions and I started to speak the conversation concluded pretty quickly.
