There was a trade that just went off at .22. I've said it before and I will say it again, i would be absolutely thrilled with .8. I don't think some people realize what a long-shot deal this is. This is not Tapie's fault. A little bit of compromise seems more than reasonable, imo.

Oh, and inb4 "what about the progress toward my mid-year bonus."

Do you have more info like 1) When 2) where 3) size of the trade 4) how many buyers/sellers in this "market"?

Assuming this isn't a level, I can only see someone being happy selling a $10k balance for $2.2k if they were completely oblivious to Tapie and/or thought they were never getting their money back.

Problem with $FT is that it's over the counter and it's extremely illiquid, so you're going to get huge spreads. If we had an exchange of at least 1000 participants (players + random outside speculators), imo bid/ask would be roughly at 0.45/0.65 right now. But we'll never know

Nah I just used the wrong word. All of that belongs to the players. The extra 90m can go to pay the economic damages they caused. No freerolls. Also won't mind seeing everyone that hand a role in management spend the rest of their lives in jail. So basically I'd be happy to get 80%. Not nearly happy enough not to push to see these fine people driven into complete destitution.

Is it possible that these calls aren't being made strictly on behalf of GBT, but rather on behalf of someone Tapie has lined up as a potential investor, trying to get the lay of the land?

+1

Can anyone who is in the know say anything about how legitimate or not this survey is and who is actually backing it?

you're right.

they havent called any canadiens either yet afaik.
Lets assume those options would be right, ofcourse you would take .8 right now, but that option would only be available when Tapie actually closed the deal, and at this point fulltilt $ would rise ridic in value, so the 0.8 might not be worth it anymore

You can just wait a year and take everything off. Just pretend Tapie didnt buy it. It's a non issue. How can 100% in a year be worse then 30% in 5 years when doj or whoever goes through everything, if even then? Please explain to me, maybe im blinded.

Where will 350m come from after a year? That's the approx pre-BF ROW rake per annum.

I know one thing...if they are going to propose instant withdrawal with a fee as an option...they should NOT use the word "penalty" to refer to it.

I don't think US players will get calls because they're trying to determine if there's going to be a mass exodus, and whether these high volume regulars will stay on there. sure, a lot of non-americans stayed on after black friday, but there's been a lot of damage since then.

they could try converting some of the balance to bonus money to be worked off to keep the games going. many would still understandably take their money and run.

Its funny the selling prices for ftp money. I was talking to justin bonomo to buy my 13k for basically half, two weeks after the loss of the license and it didn't go through. If I had to guess you would get .3 on the dollar right now if you are lucky.

Everyone who thinks that the option to swap your account balance for the right to buy shares at the offer price in an IPO sucks should really think twice. An IPO in a sophisticated marketplace would gurantee transparency & close to fair pricing due to due diligence and publication issues. That plus the fact that IPO stocks are (on average) heavily underpriced actually makes that option my preferred one and might even lead to a surplus.

I agree ! not that I have a huge stack on there but since I figured less than 50% chance of getting anything back if they give me the option I will take 50% in stock and 50% in cash any day of the week.
