Surely players who want their money now should be paid and those who wait should be given an ADDED bonus to stay loyal to FTP.

To me it looks like they are trying to screw customers over before they have even opened.

Not sure how much I would trust a company that tries to screw me straight off the bat?
Not sure they are trying to "screw' anybody over. I think that they are willing to put the $300 mil (or whatever) into an account but if it was all withdrawn at once they would end up with cashflow problems. So by letting people to take 25% (just picked that number out of the air) out every 3 months until it is running "full tilt" (lol) again would seems reasonable to me.
I would stipulate that that withdrawl amount be ONLY on excisting balances. Any money won or deposited after they re-opened should be available right away.

If they are willing to put up the $300M, why would there be cash flow problems, even if everyone withdrew at the same time?

Isn't that what lead FTP into trouble in the first place?

You should have all player funds seperated and THEN have accounts/money for operating expenses.

You are suggesting FTP needs to continue dipping into player funds.........

WOW. Didnt work out so well the first time.

and I wouldn't blame you.

By agreeing to a payment plan over along period such as 1-2 years you are essentially becoming a shareholder and hoping FTP doesnt go bankrupt.

I can agree that this shows some progress, but why is everyone so happy about this? They do just seem like random surveys..

Yeah man, someone tell the Frenchie to go home, DOJ will save us and our money. God bless America!

Dont you get it, there is no third option. Either we get everything, possibly with some temporary limitations. Or we get nothing.

I know what I'll pick.

This can't be bad news. Glad to hear they're trying to see what their options are.

sounds like great news

also the third option is the best. so i dont mind the survey person leading people to it. needing to grind out your money bonus style sounds like a great solution to me.

id love to be able to play on ftp as an American.

Its amazing how quickly everyone is talking about playing on FTP again after all that has happened. Never mind that it shows them how dumb poker players can be and they can get away with what they have done, it also shows that any other company can rip us off and get away with it. The fact that people were playing on UB probably influenced FTP to rob us.

not "dipping" into players funds BUt if they could put $200 Mil segrigated to start and an maybe $10 mil per month or so till it gets paid off would be easier to do than come up with all $300 mil right off the bat.
and like most have said better a little than nothing.

FTP's software was preferable to everyone else's. Their management and customer support was not. Their accounting (clearly) and fiscal responsibility was not.

If they fix the latter two, and keep the former, HELL YES I am going back to FTP. That doesn't make me dumb, that makes me aware of what went wrong and eager to reap the benefits of a new and improved site that I loved to play poker on.

AS for those who keep saying "HOW DARE THEY, THEY OWE US ALL OUR MONEY", please realize, we're talking about new people now. The "new boss" is not the same as the old boss, because the old boss stole 100% of our bankrolls, and the new boss is willing to cough up an immediate (guessing here) 70% of what we're owed, for -0- return if that 70% is going to an American player, or 100% of what we're owed if we just wait a little bit.

People are so narrow minded... i'm amazed at the amount of beggars posing here as choosers.

Not terrible news. At least it seems like a realistic business plan but I doubt the US players will get their funds back yet.

As long as there is no way to make their money back, the Tapie Group can't pay the US players anytime soon without it being profitable for them.

I think if they get the results of this survey and its something like 80 percent would re-deposit or play on the site again it would really go a long way to getting our money back.
I think about 80 percent would play again on that site. If its opened up again and under new management I just don't see that many players really siting out just to protest.

FTP will never earn anyones business if they dont settle this debt first. its like a bookie running around collecting wins but never paying out. How would you feel if you were his/her customer?

Full payment to the US players is the key to all this if they ever want a shot in the future of the online poker market

I may be cynical about this situation, but i would still be pretty angry if we got paid. FTP has truly set many poker players back financially. Now Im grinding the live games just to get my bankroll back to where it was, which is a huge set back. Lost tons in opportunity cost. Many players like myself shouldnt be playing these "smaller games". Weve worked so hard to build a bankroll, whether it be grinding it out and taking small risk, or taking shots with high risk. It tilts me to think about all the times I was a bankroll nit(I know alot of you are out there). We just straight up got freerolled for our money

There is absolutely no way I would ever consider doing business with FTP under the same management. It really seems like howard/bitar/chris are only trying to pay players back so they can get back in business. **** them for spending our money on their ****ing lobsters.
