Players who never actually made a deposit are also out of luck. Falling under this category would be those who received a bankroll via an affiliate or were staked.

This seems pretty bad.

This article doesn't state anything new.

As I said recently, player to player transfers fall under the transaction type of "Player to Player Deposit" on FTP's Player Account History. Hopefully all will end well.

What if we have deposited, lost our roll, and then got a player to player xsfer, and then won a bunch of money if we are ok?

So long as they're only speculating when they say players who were staked are out of luck.

The entire article is a summary of the email and speculation.

Nothing is definite but when we do know one way or another it won't come from a site like that.

OK, so my girlfriend received (in spam of course) the email, of course her account had about $5 in it, and I have not received an email, and my account has over $2300 in it... Like I said before, I have a gmail account associated with my fulltilt account. Has anyone else who has a gmail account received a notification?

Thank You

Yes, it does help to know. Neither my wife nor I have received an email yet. (Separate accounts, were up front with FTP when we opened them, agreed we'd never play at same table or same tournament, and they had no issue with it.)

From WWW.FULLTILTPOKERCLAIMS.COM on the front page:

On September 18, 2013, potentially eligible Petitioners will be able to submit a Petition for Remission through this website.

I started with a player-to-player transfer and never made a deposit. I was also getting rakeback.

I got my email notice (in my spam folder). So those that haven't received your email yet and started with a player-to-player transfer, hold tight. Just because you never deposited, doesn't mean you won't get the notice.

Is anyone else concerned about this language?

6. What is the calculation formula that will be used to determine payment?
The calculation formula to be used for the Petition for Remission process is based on players' final balances with FTP as of April 15, 2011 (the "FTP Account Balances"). If the forfeited funds available for distribution (the "FTP Fund") equal or exceed the aggregate FTP Account Balances for all eligible Petitioners, each eligible Petitioner with an approved petition will receive the entirety of his or her FTP Account Balance. If the aggregate FTP Account Balances for all eligible Petitioners exceeds the FTP Fund, payments will be made to eligible Petitioners on a pro rata basis.

How can the "FTP Fund" be less than the "FTP Account Balances" (FTP Account Balances = ~$150M?) if:

Under the terms of the settlement with PokerStars (the "PokerStars Settlement"), the company agreed, among other things, to forfeit $547 million to the United States and to assume FTP's liability for the approximately $184 million owed by FTP to foreign players.

Like I didn't see this little gem coming:

Prior to the payment of funds to a Petitioner, GCG will provide the Petitioner’s Social Security or other Taxpayer Identification Number to the Government, in order to offset and collect any qualifying debts currently listed in the Treasury Offset Program Database.

So then it is safe to assume that the Treasury Offset Program Database will also be garnishing American players who had accounts with PokerStars?

Personally, I am still livid that we live in a country where the introduction of non-pertinent riders to bills has become so common that not only is it generally acceptable, but the term "christmas tree" can also refer to a bill with more riders than verbiage germane to the bill itself. Merry christmas mother ****ers, and our Grinchy government's wallet grew 3-sizes on Black Friday!

With ~$150M at stake for US FTP players, I just want to know why we, the players, aren't looking into a class action suit.

I'm angry; I want my voice heard. I know you all want to be heard too. It's not just the US FTP players that have been wronged. It's not just FTP who has wronged us. Everything that has transpired to lead us to this point, between bad business and bad legislation, should be addressed critically by the people. And if America truly is the democracy she boasts to be, then action should be taken with the people's interest at heart.
