Ever think the destroy my life would come from the after effects of the DOJ's actions? I was shocked as we all were, but my main concern was what was this going to do with my dreams that I had been working so hard to make real. I only had about 9k on there, which is enough money to feel sick from the idea of it being taken. But as I learned from other professional players, I viewed that money only as something I needed to play poker online in order to make money for living. So anyone who is playing this game for the love of the game, and to do something they love as a career (which few can ever say that), the DESTROY MY LIFE is not such a misused metaphor imo... Especially when you had just past the point of uncertainty in your ability as a player, and become to know that you can beat this game at stakes that make your life dreams come true, then you wake up on a saturday morning as I had for the past 12 months excited for the games later that night. Only when I logged onto Skype to see my friend ask me if I could log into FTP as he played on Stars. Then to see the DoJ stamp and then the feelings and questions about what is happening. So the amount of money that some left on FTP was money that was needed to run the business(bankroll), and it was a rather large number to some more than others, but the reason they left the money online was for the same reasons that a micro stakes player left his $800 online. In closing, it was not about the money to those who love the game!
