Agree. Spoke with two (female) CSRs yesterday:

1) Waiting on DOJ approval of the so-called "Batch 1.5"

2) Hence no ACH transfers for this group.

3) CSRs encouraged to to frequently check the site and call anytime if I had questions.

My guess is that the earliest Batch 1.5 will get paid out is mid-April. This is because GCG has to segregate which accounts will get an EFT and which will get a check, and this is a two step process. Since DOJ has not yet approved this disbursement (even though everyone in this group was previously approved but failed for bad bank info), I would say 2-3 weeks out earliest from time of the (re)approval.

In the 4 calls to GCG made, I've yet to encounter "Patrick". Only female CSRs. Also, I am a little surprised that a CSR would have inside info on what the DOJ is or is not doing. The responses made by the CSRs to me seemed appropriate.

I think CGC is doing a good job so far. The DOJ frankly, should have let Stars handle this, but I guess they gotta mark their territory. I'm looking forward to meeting Preet Bhrara one day and asking him, for all that tough talk when indicting the FT group, how come only one guy did time, he did 30 days, and he was the stooge? Only confirms what I've known for many years now...our system of justice is broken and needs repairing badly.

Here is my story if it helps anyone... I moved to Thailand to play poker on stars, and have been living here since July 2011. My concern was how will I get my money since I do not have a US bank account any longer. I emailed them about my banking info, and the replied asking me to send them documents showing proof of my bank account here along with another document (copy of utility bill etc) to match with my bank account. I sent that info and received a reply stating that my banking details were updated. Then I called for the first time about 1 week before the first round of payments were to be sent out, and the lady told me that my petition was good to go but I was not on the list to paid in the first round. So I called again yesterday and found out that I had 2 petitions under the same name, and I was told to send an email asking to withdraw petition #xxxxxxxxx. I received the automated reply immediately, and today I received this...

"Thank you for your email. We have withdrawn the duplicative Petition that you filed. Please continue to check the case website at www.FullTiltPokerClaims.com for information regarding the next round of payments to approved Petitioners"

I am to be mailed a check since I do not have a US bank account, and I plan to call them again in a week or so if the website has not addressed this.

The majority of people who have already received their money aren't checking this thread anymore, they couldn't care less about our situation. My point is, those of us waiting on our money have to stick together and keep pushing the DOJ/GCG to get us our funds back.

I've been optimistic for years about this situation, but as of late I (any many others) am becoming more and more frustrated. Please show me where my observation(s) are false and/or misleading, and I will quickly have a mod delete the post. The bottom line is, I hope all of us get our money back soon so we can put this mess behind us.

they are false because a ton of people got paid a few weeks ago and now the second batch is awaiting their payment.

That's not true, they were already approved and the transfer didn't go through for one reason or another.

just got a call back from them, saying that they confirmed i have updated my bank information and they will send a test deposit shortly, and I should be expecting a payment at the beginning of April ... if the ACH transfer fails again this time, they will send out a check automatically...

hope this helps...

Either bad banking info or multiple petitions. Don't think he's either of those. Maybe affiliate if it had to be one of em.

Disputeds are a ways off imo.

Was told by the lady who did my taxes that we need to pay estimated taxes on our remission, if you don't, you may get hit with big penalties.

I think 'big penalties' is a bit hyperbolic. It's really up to the individual and if the earning potential of having the additional money is greater than the cost of the penalty. Imagine if you owed 5k in estimated taxes but that would take a large poriton of your overall roll and you would have to drop down in stakes or something. In that event the money loss to your overall hourly is very likely worse than paying the penalty. In the end it's always best to plan ahead and figure out what's best for your living situation.

Not even an update to close out the week? GCG is a joke. Two weeks since we've heard an official release regarding anything on the process...

Same Here. Guess that's what happens when someone posts another person's direct line on a popular message forum.

I did speak with Patrick back in February (before the number was posted) and he alluded to the possibility of second round of payments going out a couple of weeks before March 31st or a couple of weeks after march 31st.

It sounded like each round of payments get checked by the DOJ for delinquent federal debts, etc. So I'm hoping by April 15th at latest.

Is there for certain a "batch 1.5" group of payments? I emailed them yesterday about status of my remission, and was told I would receive payment in "second round of payments"

Just curious because if there is a 1.5 batch then I'm assuming being in the second wave means an even longer waiting period..

I just got a letter in the mail from my bank that said DOJ poker stars plans to credit my account. So I guess they did that test deposit and it went through this time. I was in the incorrect banking info first time.
