Seems reasonable. From the beginning of the contract with GCG in March 2013 through September of 2015, GCG was paid a total of $3,001,650.00 for the claims processing service. This includes a period of no added payments to GCG for Sept 2014 through Sept 2015. There was no added financial benefit to GCG for extending the service contract during that year.

Check your emails. I just received an email stating they are recommending me for denial because my balance after affiliate payments is zero, but it also gave me the option to re-file my claim and give reasons why I should receive my money. I called them and spoke to an operator and requested that a manager contact me to go over my situation. Not sure what will happen, but it looks like they are now on the people tagged as affiliates.

If anyone has any ideas for my situation I would love to hear them. I started playing on FTP right after they opened and was one of the highest volume players on their site for the first couple of years. Rakeback didn't exist back then so once rakeback became the norm, FTP set me up as an affiliate and attached my player name to the account. In 2010, I received an email from FTP stating that I had violated their terms by having my player account under my own affiliate. After multiple emails explaining that they were the ones that set it up that way, they agreed with me and moved me to rakebackpros. I sent the entire email chain in with my documentation that also shows that the only affiliate compensation I ever received was on my own account.

My plan is to resubmit all of the documentation and also include in the letter that I am being punished because a shady company set up my account wrong. Any other ideas?

Your plan seems to be a good one. Don't forget to do it within the 10-day time period allowed.

FYI, I was tagged as an affiliate incorrectly and challenged 40% of my total balance of approx. 10k.
I called GCG and they advised that my claim has been approved and I will be in the next wave. They don't know when the next wave is.

Anyone get a denial email that had previously been approved or given an exact amount they were due, or had a balance they could of taken but disputed?

Didn't get an email personally, will call this week to verify.. to see the word 'denied' on the FTP claims site at this point is cringeworthy to say the least. On a positive note, it seems they are finalizing the whole process and there is probably only one more wave left.

Did anyone get an e-mail that they were denied?

Quote:
GCG has been informed that the Department of Justice Asset Forfeiture and Money Laundering Section has denied approximately 1,500 Petitions. Petitioners flagged for denial have been notified via email. Please be sure to check your email account's spam or junk folder to ensure the message was not filtered. Denied petitioners have ten days to appeal the decision.

I signed up as an affiliate but never referred anyone. Didn't get an email and a phone call today confirmed that I am ok for now (no new information on the next wave).

I also did not get an email. I had some very small affiliate income but the vast majority of it was rakeback.

Haley Hintze wrote a nice piece about the last wave of payments

Quote:
Over the course of eight previous waves of remission payments made to former FTP players, GCG refunded about 44,000 accounts for a total of roughly $112 million. The breakdown, by wave and date:

- February, 2014: $76 million, 27,500 accounts
- April, 2014: $5 million, 2,200 accounts
- June, 2014: $14 million, 3,200 accounts
- September, 2014: $1.8 million, 600 accounts
- March, 2015: $2.8 million, 3,500 accounts
- June, 2015: $4 million, 4,000 accounts
- November, 2015: $5.7 million, 2,000 accounts
- March, 2016: $2.6 million, 1,180 accounts

Rough percentages included in earlier GCG updates allowed for an approximation of remaining petitions. The ballpark figure? About 3,000 FTP petitions remained to be processed, because they involved disputed balances or involved some of the specific accounting shenanigans that were an unfortunately hallmark of that company’s operations. For instance, hundreds of players were inaccurately tagged within Full Tilt’s accounting system as being affiliates despite not actually being an affiliate in fact, just because it was an easy work-around in FTP’s accounting system.

[...]

Friday’s announcement of the denial of roughly 1,500 petitions accounts for about half of those petitions still to be processed. Not all of the 1,500 denied petitions are presumed to be affiliates of the old Full Tilt site, as some compensated pro players and business partners may also be included. The 1,500 total also includes some payers who both played on the site and had affiliate deposits made into their accounts, but who were net losing players, and had only net amounts of affiliate-derived incomes in their player accounts.

if her calculations are correct, it seems the DoJ/GCG will walk away with a nice bonus ^^

anway, gL to anyone who didn't get any money yet!

I was getting rakeback from WhiteLabel but may have only referred one or two people in my lifetime of playing on Full Tilt. I called yesterday and they said that I am not in the denial pile.

I still can't believe that I somehow drew the short straw in the process and will be one of the last ones to be paid, years after the process started. FML.

Spoke to Chris today about confirming my banking info.

While I had him on the phone I asked some other questions. His guesstimate for the next wave which will pay mislabeled affiliates is September. It sounded like they hadn't even presented this list to the Dept of Justice for approval.

I asked to confirm my bank account info. He gave me the last 4 digits of my acct # and it didn't match up with my bank info. Turn out that was the RTA # and not the account #. I suspect GCG reversed these numbers at some point. I had to now compose an email to GCG asking that they update my claim.

Might explain why so many people itt have had banking issues when it was time to get paid.

BTW, the people answering the phone don't have any visibility into your bank info. They need to have Chris call you back. Here's what he told me since they need to have this info in writing.

Send an email to Info@fulltiltpokerclaims.com

They need the bank name, address, type of account (checking, savings, etc), RTA #, acct#

Also provide you GCG claim # and player id on FTP

I'm posting here hoping that someone can help me out with my issue. If this would benefit more by being in its own thread or a different thread, feel free to move, mods.

I was a pretty big backer at the time of Black Friday. Luckily, I've been paid in full for my own dispute and from all of my horses except 1. He was labeled as an affiliate account and recently received an email stating that his dispute/claim was denied. He was holding approximately 5k of my money, and they are claiming that he received ~5700 in affiliate payments. These payments were actually rakeback payments from rakebackpros. There's no way for the claims group to see "proof" that these were rakeback payments on their end. Chris told me that I would need a copy of his account history, and there would be a special description column that would show the notes of each of these transactions. If it has "rake", "rakeback", "rakebackpros", etc. then they'd be able to pay his balance in full. Otherwise, he'd be labeled as an affiliate, and we would get none of his money back.

Is there any way to view FTP player account history since the FTP software was shut down and merged with Pokerstars? I tried and failed. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I would email Stars support and see if they still have the data. I had to download my account history about a month ago to verify a 10% dispute on affiliate labeled income that was actually rakeback, but this was when FTP was still on it's own platform.

I downloaded/updated the FTP software and the account history (web) option isn't there since they merged with Stars, at least from my browsing of the new client.

Thanks for the reply. I did email them, and I'm still waiting for a reply. I seem to remember Pokerstars support was much faster at replying to emails before Black Friday.

I am a disputed affiliate that was marked as such because I received rakeback.

Yesterday I made an inquiry as to the status of my claim and received this response.

"Thank you for your email. Your petition is in good standing and we plan to include it in our proposal to the Department of Justice (“DOJ”) for the next wave of payments. If the DOJ approves your Petition, your Petition will be paid in the next wave, which is preliminarily scheduled for the 3rd quarter 2016."

Anyone else have any news?

I inquired and received the exact reply, that petition is in good standing and expected for Q3. I'd assume there is only one more wave of payments since the site says 94% have been paid, and that's not including the 1,500 that were recently denied. I don't see how they could stretch the remaining 2-4% into more than one wave of payments. My guess is there are only 1,000 - 2,000 active petitions left if you do a little basic math.

Considering it's been over five years since BF, I'd say we are in the final days of this saga.
