I guess this is where our patience as poker players is tested

Someone, Hash, Noah, want to call the AGCC and ask them this?

When all is said and done, if full tilt can't pay. One question better be answered. With all the Money this company made and brought in on deposits, where the hell is all of it? Somebody robbed us big time. If they really were bringing in over a million in rake a day all these years that's a ton of profit not even counting player deposits. And how is Alderney not responsible for any of it when they are paid to regulate this company. Paid very well I might add. People better pay for these crimes.

It's a guess and not a very accurate one, but he won't stop, so its a waste of time to discuss it.

Fwiw, the latest one could be relevant, but likely isnt. Plenty of ppl have applied for licenses in the last month or two, so by itself it really means nothing. Don't pay any particular attention to the address either, its the addy used by a trust management company, and one of thier main offerings are to handle applications etc for ppl, they often use their own addy on the apps.

What could have been interesting is a month or so ago, an application was made by VF 2011 (using the same company for the app). It actually was granted recently (pretty quick). I contacted AGCC about it about a week ago, since although they are now a license holder, they have no website listed. AGCC does not give out the website, or post it, unless and until the licensee goes active. So far that has not happened. I would read nothing into that on its own.

Not timely, but just out of curiosity, I thought the LA Times was a supposedly reputable news source. Is lawyers for one side of a deal really a reliable enough source to release the story they did which obviously proved false? Shouldn't they have done a little more research first?

My understanding is that there was an investor and probably still is (it's only the exclusivity deal with that investor that has expired) but as long as FTP doen't settle with the DOJ, no deal is possible.
Hopefully Ifrah will be able to give more infos on that.

I just got off work. Did we get anything from FTPJeff, or another eta yet?

I'm actually shocked that full tilt hasn't explained to Jeff what 2+2 is.

haha

this is what i've been thinking ever since this whole correspondence with Ifrah began

doesn't make any sense to me that he's how they'd choose to interface with the community, seems like somebody talking when they shouldn't be

It is either hold off until all funds are used up and we have to declare bankruptcy or find an investor and abandon ship.

He posted this in the previous FTP containment thread, post #2833. I don't think he's provided a source for this. I was also very curious about this. It also contradicts what hdemet posted about what he had heard about potential deals and investors.
08-26-2011 , 11:55 PM
I really doubt that that's true considering that he's saying that the deal was on the table in the middle of exclusive negotiations...

At quick glance, there have been at least 10 applications made Since July 1. 2 of those are already licensed, but not "live" yet. This info comes from the very same link you posted yourself!

FYI, Before a licensee can go fully “live” or operational, there are several areas of operations which will need to be confirmed and approved. Essentially, the AGCC will need to approve:
1.an internal control system
2.gambling equipment
3.the licensee’s capitalisation status

Once those things are done, the name comes off the current applicants list completely and its site addy is added to the licensee list.

Not sure how you claim to have looked on that web site and claimed they get one application a month. You have a very bad habit of pretending to "know things", making up a little story about them and then presenting it as fact.

Maybe it's you that should get a life sir.

This guy is a big time lawyer, right? I find it a little hard to believe that he hasn't figured out what 2+2 is yet.

+1
Hope that does not explain the delay in the answer back! Still have some doubt about how candid they can be really! Unless it just doesn't matter anymore if stuff is revealed!

Lawyers don't live on the net. They work all day filing motions and are in courts. It would be up to his paralegal to look this stuff up if FTP addresses it to him.
