In the old thread there was a post by an FTP/Pocket Kings employee.

It made me wonder, have FTP kept on all their Pocket Kings staff in Ireland?
Are these people going in to the office each day? What are they doing to fill their time?

There must be a huge number of employees who no longer have anything to do, now that the site is not operational. Are they just playing Minesweeper? Or have they been sent home on gardening leave?

The lack of communication certainly is frustrating (to put it mildly).

Nevertheless, Ifrah has said that it was very difficult to communicate because of all the legal matters and the exclusivity deal (now revoked). I think it's likely we will hear some sort of news soon (because of the AGCC deadline, Afrah and so on...)

As for Lederer, according to the latest reports he is not feeling too great about the situation. I am not trying to excuse them, but the “Zen talking family orientated” Lederer doesn't exactly strike me as the type of person who wouldn't give a damn about the situation. Fergusson neither for that matter. I really don’t think ripping off people is what they had in mind when FTP started. May be I am just naïve (or less cynical)

Can't believe that nobody will get any of their money back! Nor am I confident that everyone will get their entire BR restored. It is just MHO, but I think it will be somewhere in between 25% and 50%! Hope it will be better! Hell I hope it happens at all!

What does it matter if Lederer or Ferguson had any intent to rip anybody off when they started Full Tilt? I doubt anybody seriously thinks they had specific intent to rip anybody off. However, I think there's plenty of evidence to suggest they acted in a matter that was highly detrimental to their players and both should have been able to foresee that this behavior could lead to players losing their deposits. It just so happens that this same highly detrimental behavior ended up lining both of their pockets quite nicely.

The irony is definitely there. Gamblers are going to gamble and both Lederer and Ferguson gambled with everybody's bankrolls.

You can spin it any way you want Genher but your heroes messed up big time and as a result many thousands of people are left without access to money they needed to pay for rent, mortgages, food, school, utilities and other necessary items.

Their customer service sucks. It's hardly surprising none of that information is available.

With all due respect, this is unproductive and just self serving for you. At the current market prices lots of people would consider buying FTP paper, including me....getting 5--15 to 1 odds isnt so bad. Hell you might get something out of some settlement. We are not impressed with your attempt to make people look stupid or less confident, because they are not willing to short a 5-15 one shot. You have done this before and its not appropriate for these threads. If you want to buy paper, post it where it is appropriate and buy it if you can. We would love to come up with an over/under type bet that would work, but its so biased toward failure its hard to do without creating a similar situation. Even though I feel like its a goner, it doesn't really make sense to sell for less then 20cents as there are lots of ways players can get paid down the road. From what I understand, its looking like Madoff victims are likely to get 10/20 cents from the trustes at some point.

Another important development not mentioned by the chronology: I am unable to read more on this since almost all gambling-related sites are blocked at work, but apparently there has been some buzz lately regarding U.S. players having to pay taxes on $ stuck in FTP accounts even if we never receive it this year. Could be old news, but I haven't seen it pop up on here yet

So did the Ifrah giving responses thing just got delayed until later today? Weird how it was announced yesterday and now it's like nothing happened.
