For those who wants the actual background story this is quite an amazing read but i dont know how good of a job google translate will do: Vanity Fair article
TLDR: Cyril was the cousin of Marco mouly who was behind the Carbon scam with arnaud Mimran.
They were part of a huge carbon credit scammed that defrauded more than 5B Euros all over Europe.
Insane story with already a movie made about it "Carbon"
And this is how Cyril was basically funding his degen spree. He is now in Jail tho..

Saw the bump in this thread and I remmber being there in Prague 2014 and one reg who got smashed in some big plo game said Cyril was decent and winning. My mind obv went to think that had to be scamming for this to be true, was there at somepoint any talk of him cheating in those games?

He has been a commentator on a lot of poker shows I've watched through the years and it's been just as bad every single time. Strange how he kept getting work. He barely knows what hand beats what.
