This was aired during WPT Borgata just now as I was watching on Travel Chan at about 12:30am while zoning on the couch playing some poker. I was so stunned I had to TIVO back and watch it again.
**start commercial**
Starts with generic pop/blues guitar music and sort of like a slide show of images. Each transitions from one to another like a Powerpoint presentation might use.
Text flashes on screen:
"Internet poker legend"
(pic wearing a hoodie staring ahead w/o smiling and possibly posing trying to look tough)
"Highly Educated"
"(YALE, 1570 SAT)"
(pic being goofy with a fork in mouth while eating, looks like in a cafeteria)
"You can't see me!"
(Pic of him looking askance being serious)
(no text, image of an upwards trending pokertracker graph where text is illegible on my non-HDTV)
(no text, pic of someone maybe him holding bundles of $100s wearing an all white tux-type jacket that needs a press and some black sunglasses grinning whle biting an unknown item)
Music winds down, next slide is URL "www.foxwoodsfiend.com"
**end commercial**
The website is just a simple blog, his. And I want the minute of my life back that I wasted reading about how he wakes up then has lunch then chills with friends.
WTF?!
I hope he lost a prop bet and had to do this. For the love of Jebus, let it be that.
lol.. he seems kinda cool at first... but extrememly annoying in real life. basically you can't have a conversation with him. he never listens... he just wants to control the talking in 90% of the conversation.... with jokes that he feels are funny (such as how much he's down lifetime in BJ, etc... basically all self-disguised brags). it's fine and funny at first.. but after an hour it gets extremely annoying. this was in 2006 aruba btw... maybe he's adjusted to normalacy society social guideline rules since then. like he talks in a way where u are forced to "fake laugh" just because he'd feel like an idiot if u didn't. but he mistakes the fake laughs for real laughs... so he just goes on and on and on.
yay for awkwardness the next time i see him in real life. but i think this could help him more than it's meant to make fun of him. also i'm sure 95% of the people who've met him in real life would say "i hit the nail on the head" although they won't admit it.
i guess he's "rich" tho... but he's got the intelligence to end up with the same amount of money he'll have at age 80 as he would have had anyways (without poker). he woulda found something.
