Last week in the New Journal a paper out of Daytona Beach,it has 2 interesting articles. The first one was for full blown gaming in Florida which is trying to get on the ballot for Nov 2014,and it would need to pass with 60% of the people voting for it.The 2nd thing in the paper was that the Daytona Beach Poker room has a license and is in court right now trying to open a new room in Orange City,The news paper says it will be in court for about 2 months and then a decision will be made. Also St. Johns poker room closed about 1 to 2 years ago, heard they were looking to go south into St. Augustine has anyone heard anything on any of these matters, thanks in advance

Spoke with a lawyer at Tampa Bay downs like 3 yrs about this. He basically said that (3 yrs ago time frame) in 7 years full on gaming would be allowed in the state and that most of if not all of the old hotels built in the 20's are already wired for it. Said Miami/South Beach and Tampa would be the hot spots to go for gambling once this was approved.

no gambling will be done in Orange County (Orlando area). The Mouse is still strong, it'll keep it out of Orlando but, the rest of the state is free to do what they wish. pretty sure that there's gonna "full blown gambling" within the next 3 years.
