I think player's expression change not because they won or lost the last hand, but think its based on players preflop playing style. From what I saw, you need to play at least 10 hands before your expression starts to change.
So if you have been playing very loose during your 10 hands sample size, 11th hand onwards your expression would change to 'enraged' even if you double up on your 10th hand.
So it more like a simplified HUD.

Yep, only for the selected people. I actually signed up from 3-4 email ids, and I got the invitation on the id which I used for sign up back in May or June.
They plan to have more beta testing in the coming weeks. So you might get an invitation next time.
