The guy apparently earns $13 bucks an hour, gets unreal luck up to $70K, and amount that would change most people who earn $13 an hours' lives and then goes loses it all. It is hard to believe that he wont miss that $70K at some future point, money which he was certain to lose.

He is certainly free to do what he wants with his money but I think he has been very foolish.
Fo sure he will miss it , and im sure he regrets not cashing out. However, 70k is hardly life changing money, made even less significant by his age. How mant times you see people on game shows like millionaire or deal/no deal that could walk with 70-100k only to leave with much less? If they do walk, you say they should have gone for it.
No, I don't. That is a totally different scenario.

I don't know what deal or no deal is but a person's EV answering one question for $750,000 more than the 250k you get at the second to last step in Millionaire can't be less than fin's chances of making money in these games, or even staying even.

Unless of course a person on Millionaire just randomly picked a number 1-4 and used that to guess each answer and some how made it that far.

If you're good with money, that 70k is much more valuable to you at a younger age.

pretty much. 70K IS life changing for somebody who's willing to change their lives instead of buying a bunch of crap they don't need (cars, jewelry, cloths, etc.)

many could begin the journey towards their dreams with 70k. He's an f'ing moron and it saddens me that he's only cashing out 8k. Disregard for money really gets to me.

Any update on how last night ended for Finbop? Is he broke? Or did he just have a bad session?

BTW, I have a friend who has the bankroll mgment of finbop. He turned 200 buy in to 10k. He then sat at 25/50 nl and made a huge bluff vs. Matusow to get to 15k.

Then he sat at 50/100 nl with his 15k roll and built it up to 20k. Then he picked up KK and raised. Ivey was only caller. Flop K 3 3. He checked, Ivey bet, he called.
Turn was 8, he checked, Ivey bet, He raised, Ivey went all in, he called. Ivey showed A 3 and the case 3 hit river. He was in isolated depression for over 2 weeks. Brutal.
Acesthecat was his name in case anyone saw this.
Interesting story. Does he still play? Has he had another run like that? He must get heartburn every time he sees Ivey on t.v.

Well I don't entirely disagree with that, but if someone wants to put in a relatively insignificant amount of money and have some fun gambling then I am fine with that.

True, but there is a breaking point isn't there? At point at which you are in a realm of money to actually make a significant impact on your life (25-70k) yet you keep going for the pot at the end of the rainbow.

I guess my problem is in him not discerning a rush from raw skill.

That's why i'm usually drunk when i do . I can't stand gambling. I have no idea why people find craps and slots fun, then i get drunk and see the light.

I partially agree with what you said. But if he wasn't willing to gamble it up he would have never got up to 70k.

He would have turned that 400 into 2k and quit. Many people would have applauded him for that.

He still goes on crazy runs but always moves up stakes and sits with his whole bankroll. Always loses it too. One of the best players I've seen play tho, just such a shame. When this kid plays in live tournies and live play he generates the biggest stacks. He just has nothing to show for it.

All,

Why is everyone saying he is busto? I can't find any account in the thread of him losing anywhere close to 70.

Why does everyone keep saying 70k?

It's not quite at 70k. That was wrong. More around 50, but some got lost back. I made a cashout of 8- just now and I've got 30 behind me.

I'm back.. went into surgery yesterday morning on my ACL in my right knee. It ended up being in worse shape than they thought, and they also had to do some miniscus repair.

I am in some pain, but I am back!
