3 days b4 the ME started i asked joe if he would sell me 1% for $100. he was not interested. i regret not doing a sick fedor choke out move until he agreed.
I'm pretty sure that jcada is the 2nd best player on the final table, and yeah he did get lucky, but if Phil Ivey was in the same spot and had the same hands as jcada did, would everyone be making a big deal of it, or just brushing it off because they think Ivey is God?
Grats Joe.
what about saout????
give us the scoop joe... what was saout's table image? it seemed like he as picking his spots very well.
WP Joe. FWIW, I don't think many people would criticise the 33 hand. The only dubious play imo was with the deuces. Also; how close were you to shipping with 99 in the first televised hand of Headsup?
Joe, you have to understand that people like NVGtards or clueless ESPN viewers are going to think badly of your play no matter what you say or do simply because they don't understand poker or the thought process that goes on at higher levels, so what they see that's going on is entirely different than what you see.
All they see is 22 sucking out against a bigger pair, whereas anyone familiar with beating tougher games sees what's really going on and knows that if you made a mistake with any of those shoves it was only slightly -EV if anything.
For it to be massively -EV it would have to mean your opponents were playing terrible and unaware of what was going on which wasn't the case. But yeah one thing you'll learn quickly is that you can't appease the masses and get them to understand or agree with you so just enjoy the money and new lifestyle and keep it moving.

this +1 mirrrion
i defended your play in the other thread... i was going to break down the math of it (the 33 hand)... but then i realized posting mtt strategy in NVG is pointless...
no point defending yourself when the only people criticizing your play are NVGtards who can't beat micros/suck in tourneys. i have yet to speak to or hear commentary from a winning player who has something bad to say about your final table performance.

Honestly Joe I don't even understand why you feel it's necessary to defend yourself. Reguardless of how the FT played out there will always be haters... You have the monies. You win. Thread over.
I actually think that he posted this he because he actually respect's 2p2 as a top poker forum. And who knows maybe he actually posted here previously under a different SN.
People see someone all in and win w/ 33 vs JJ and 22 vs QQ and automatically think, "what a fish, what a luckbox." Yes, it's true that it takes a tremendous amount of good fortune to win both of those spots, but the point is that the plays made with those hands are not bad in the sense that they will work so often, given the dynamics at the table.
