Wow, that was actually a reasonable response related to what you brought up. Still a canned response, I assume, but at least it wasn't something about money laundering and broken homes.

Even the fact that a lot of politicians have canned responses for online poker is a good sign as far as awareness is concerned. Thx for posting!

There are currently two legislative proposals in the House of Representatives regarding online gambling. Representative John Campbell introduced H.R. 1174, the Internet Gambling Regulation, Consumer Protection, and Enforcement Act, on March 17, 2011. Representative Joe Barton introduced H.R. 2366, the Online Poker Act of 2011 on June 24, 2011. Both bills have been referred to the appropriate Committees and Subcommittees, but there has been no other action taken in the House on either bill. Please be assured I will keep your comments in mind should either bill be brought before the Senate for debate.

Again, thank you for taking the time to write. At the end of this Congress, I will be retiring from the United States Senate. It has been an honor to serve as your senator for the past thirty years.
