Doesn't seem pretty close at all once he minraises, sees a 3.5x jam and both blinds fold.

Agree with Fedor.

Obvious colluding, but wouldn't get as much traction. If he folded AK, QQ+, that would become more discussed topic.

I dont think swapping action should even be legal. Its kind naive to think that pros wont change their strategy when they play vs players that they swap with.

This. Like, it's obvious but not obvious enough.

Just in case anybody is wondering, the payouts were as follows:

1. $184.320
2. $133.120
3. $99.328
4. $74.240

Maybe somebody can do a quick calculation as to what that fold was worth to selouan.

Fun fact: he busted in 4th anyway.

Sure. If you let HJ have open jams, AJo call is +$3125. If HJ has no open jams, call AJo is +$2997. In both sims HJ is calling A9o. It's not that close, but it's also not a fist pump call I guess. Now for math with their exact hands,

ICM Value if HJ folds:

HJ: $126,226
BU: $95,797

ICM Value if HJ calls:

HJ: $136,157
BU: $68,832

So if they share a bankroll, the fold was about +$17k. Obviously in reality its a bit different because seiji loses the CL if he calls and loses.

The history of online poker is partly a history of cheating becoming standard.

HUDs, sharing hand histories, a bunch of pros sharing bankroll against the rich guy... explain these things to a non-poker person and 9/10 will say they're more or less cheating.

With so much money to be made, of course people will do anything to get an edge and it's almost impossible to stop. So I guess one day online poker will be kind of like battlebots with collusion legal and part of the strat.

Fedor's original tweet and follow up are nearly as measured as you can possibly get.

He never claimed to have anything other than a single hand history and simply stated his opinion based on that single hand history.

This Patrick guy seems out of line. Fedor was just trying to bring awareness to this spot so that it brings further investigation which he succeeded in. He doesn't directly accuse the players in hand for cheating.

Would two players collude playing poker online? That's like asking if everyone reading this is breathing!

Selouan recently removed his P5 screen names. Not saying its an implication of guilt but pretty suspicious timing just after having been accused.

Selouan screen-shotted the 9tales chat as evidence they werent colluding. Both Pvigar and Yuri Martins commented on the fold being strange but in the group chat it appears they didn´t know what each other had. That said, it doesn´t necessarily mean they weren´t chatting privately elsewhere.
