I don rly care if he gets in with less than 20% equity or not. Pretty certain those stack offs or open shoves or calls are +EV in long run, just running into top of villains range n getting lucky sucking out. Yes he runs wayyyyy above EV there's no doubt about it. Still I don know if there's any mtt reg who can be consistent winners at 5/10 10/20 on stars, and perhaps beating softer 25/50 50/100 games (again possible he just runs above EV in those games n perhaps -EV in those games hard to know). But cmon even elite mtt regs like timex can't beat nl500. He's just def top 3 or thebest mtt reg. He's just not as good as some of the online CG endbosses like otb n wcg.
"Some luck" is winning a few coinflips. Defying all math is winning them all and winning when you have very minimal equity, multiple times, in big hands. Great, he can play basic poker, all that's required to win tournaments provided you can run like god. You are a tourney clown.
You sound like a bitter, busto douchebag. How's your job?
Yeah "defying math" is winning a couple of hands with < 20% equity . Show yourself out. Your hate is embarrassing. Gotta stop being so jealous, it's not good for you.
You are absurdly dumb. Never have been and never will be jealous of any tourney clowns. They trade money with each other and most of them are busto or in massive makeup. This one person is a massive luckbox, the only thing separating himself from the other people who play these events over and over. And yea, winning all these events with infinite all ins that he has minimal equity is defying math. Wow, that guy who won 12/12 blackjack hands is so skilled at blackjack! Show yourself out, clown.
He may or may not be currently the best tournament player.
Most probably, he is very good.
However, I am sure that the difference in edges between the good high roller pros is small, noone is reinventing fire in NLH tournaments.
His sick sick run is first and foremost variance, no way you can determine from the outcome of a couple dozens of high rollers who is the best, who is really good and who is just good.
Multiple times gets it in way under 15%, wins them all, and even has the audacity to whine when he was drawing to 4 outs once (of course he got there). Worlds biggest clown luckbox, and lol at anyone saying how good he is. How can you lose when you win every major hand no matter how bad you get it in. lol idiot tourney players.
Nah, lol at you. This post is quite pathetic and the definite proof you know nothing about tournies. Which is a good thing since you call them "idiot tourney players", at least you're not part of them. You're just "idiot" without the rest, I guess it makes it much better !
Fedor has been crushing not only live SHRs but beating online mtts with monstrous fields for a few years. Consequently, it's unfair and inaccurate to chalk up his extraordinary live record to small playing fields.
As for variance, his mtt record is at the extreme far right edge of the poisson distribution, making it enormously unlikely from a statistical perspective that variance alone accounts for his fantastic record. The dude may be benefitting from running above EV (not that anyone in the thread has actually posted statistically valid evidence to support this), but he's also a really, really good mtt player who crushes fields of all sizes.

When your hot your hot. Fedor Holz is on fire right now and the other players should be terrified. He's up to 1,000,000 after eliminating Nick Petrangelo. The latter shoved for 355,000 from under-the-gun with K♦Q♦ and Holz re-raised all-in from the small blind with A♣K♣. Sergey Lebedev folded the big blind and it was time to run the board.
It came K♠8♦T♠9♣9♥ and we're now just three eliminations from the money.
When/where? I played with him two years ago and he was hardly good
when i talk to myself and how i view the world, everything also always absolutely makes sense to me and I find myself never to be wrong or missing out on anything. Others dont seem to understand. Just let them all think what they want j20s, they just dont see the way you see the things. Which you know is clearly the right and only way to go in this universe. Just let these fools be.
When/where? I played with him two years ago and he was hardly good, and the game was big but not massive. He struck me only as a weirdo, like most tourney pros.
If you were half as smart as you think you are, you'd figure out on your own how to find the NVG highstakes thread with the YTD results..
Even before he won the WCOOP ME on Stars for $1.3 million two years ago, everybody who talked to him about poker was impressed about his thought process. In fact, you and Vanessa Selbst are prolly the only players who don't think he's insanely good. Go figure.
