Wow that is a good question. Either of them would have a very narrow edge. I would go with Fedor because I think he might be slightly better live.

Spending another year or two grinding as hard as he did the recent month seems like a waste of talent to me. Especially as his motivation seems to have faded as he achievend most of his poker goals.
He's financially set, too, so why not refocus on subjects that are more fun/rewarding than poker?

Absolutely. All the WPTs were 10k apart from the 5 Diamond that was 25k.

April 2015... Pocket 5s reports he had pretty much the sickest year ever online. Then he turned 21...

You say this without knowing how much action he sell.I am confident he know how to handle his backing deals.Maybe the people that back him now are the same ones that backed him back in the day's when nobody knew who he was.He could take al action for him but my geuss is he is a loyal not so selfish person as most of us would be.

Fearless in the game is usualy fearless to go broke so i am sure Fedor would be have no problem to take 100% of himself.

Anyway we can agree it's a sick run for a great player.

Playing the best in world in 100k buy ins is probably extremely stressful. I don't blame Fedor for getting out while he's young and on top. Don't want to end up like one of these old pros who are miserable degens. Fedor is GOOD, never seen Dan Smith struggle so much against an opponent. He really got into Dan's head.

congrats

He won the $100k high roller and got 2nd in the $50k high roller at EPT Monte Carlo at the end of April.

Not true. I think they had 5-10 10ks per season back then plus the Bellagio $25k and sometimes a $15k, but also smaller events like 5ks. I remember the first four PCAs were part of the WPT and they had $7500-$8000 buy ins.

fedor would be my alltime favourite player if he quit playing poker now alltogether and just did mtt online grind odd few weeks out of the month to sustain his lifestyle and lockdown the yearly wsop/wcoop grinds and invest the money he piled up.

I mean, he can cut down his volume to 25% of what it is and move on and he would still stay relevant in mtts for years.

Extremely talented and extremely lucky. No better reason to quit than you just ran inconceivably above expectation over the last 3 years. Whats the point of continuing?

He didn't play a lot because he had a kid. But he shipped the 100k and finshed 2nd in the 50k days later when he came back at the EPT Grand Final this year.

He should pull a Bobby Fisher and leave a winner and a legend.

Imagine if Isildurr had done the same after crushing Durrr.

To be fair he never said anything about quitting poker. He just said the seven weeks straight at the WSOP was too much he wishes he'd flown to Mexico for a week in the middle of it.
