My opinion, at least, is that Martonas is a friend of Blom's... and that he plays poker on his own. But also that under a number of occasions, past and present, it's reasonably likely that Blom has played using Martonas's account.

A number of HS PLO players pointed this out years ago when Martonas first showed up on the scene... that he'd play a radically different style on occasion.

Blom is an action junkie and he busted his stars account yesterday. He withdrew some before and reloading big amount on stars takes time. He was playing blopp dang n wanted galfond. Add 2+2 and you get viktor playing under his friend martonas account

I doubt it was Viktor. 2 tables of PLO seems more like a Martonas thing to do. PLO is Martonas main game.

There's no need to further delve into this conspiracy theory about martonas being anyone other than martonas or Blom playing on any account other than isildur1.

If you want to continue, feel free to take it to the isildur/Blom thread but as far as I'm concerned we've beat that dead horse far too much in the past.

Stop over modding jamie. There was no match going on when I made that post and what I said wasn't conspiracy. It's a very logical thing to conclude given the time line and what others who play him believe. Magicninja, cts, durrrr...many others believe in this "conspiracy".

I don't really mind this chat and I think it should be allowed to continue ITT... but as long as there's some new info there's really not much to discuss, it's just useless speculation. It is very possible that VB was playing on martonas account or has played on that at some point, but as long as there isn't any real evidence either ways there's really not much to discuss.

In this case, I don't think it's cheating because he's not playing some new players under a strange name with a Japanese location. He's playing players with whom he has an extensive history. They are aware of isildur1 and martonas styles and they already know that he plays on that account sometimes.
