Re: February High Stakes Thread

Durrrr may be a brilliant poker player. And it's interesting to watch him play.

But i don't understand why he wants to put his bankroll on the line against he very best in the world when he could be raking it in from weaker players. Greenstein admits that he makes his money by playing people who aren't as good as he is.

What Durrr's doing seems more like a sport.

Maybe Matusow was right: "Cards will make you, ego will break you."

Re: February High Stakes Thread

There is a reason Matusow or Greenstein will never the best ever poker players. Ivey is the best now because he's proved himself against the best and that's what durrrr is doing too. He may or may not succeed but he has that killer instinct to be the best and he can't help himself. It's the same reason Jordan wanted to be better than Magic, same reason Kobe wanted to be better than Jordan, same reason Tiger wanted to be better than Jack. Some guys just aren't satisfied with money alone. They want to have the feeling that they're the best.

He was folding way too often on the flop for his game to be profitable. Ivey raising PF every hand then betting 4k into 6k pot every single time and often it takes it down. Calling raise and folding on flop is awesome PLO strat.

Did durrrr play all day today?

Weird hes not playing now since there is so much action flying around....and that it was one of his excuses for not playing the challenge...

He's down over 3 million this year. If he loses this challenge I can imagine he's pretty close to being broke.
