haha, give me a break dude.

you guys are insane about this btw. they are not targeting him. the guy is on a wait list to play with the same people who have been kicking his ass for like, at least 2 years.

have you never played online poker and just licked your ****** lips when you get a fish? imagine how these guys feel, at the highest stakes, when this guy shows up. in this day and age, this is how it is.

i remember a chat a few years ago, dwan asking ivey to come play at the bellagio because "C" was in town (cyril). said they could not get the game going unless ivey showed up, because "C" didn't want to play 3-handed. is it wrong to try and make a game happen around a fish?

they are donators and this is poker. it is one thing with just downright shady practices that sometimes go on in online poker, but it is quite another to open your pockets for the donators. i'm sure you heroes would deny his action. it's HSNL, a game that is hard to get to run sometimes. of course everyone wants a seat. in a game that was already running, scout joined the WL, and these guys are somehow wrong for wanting to let him in. right.

if anything, the way they decided who got the seat, is not only hilarious, but respectable.

Ah, sam's got it now.
I guess there is a bluffing frequency thing here - but I got to think bet/calling the river has to be pretty thin here.

Isn't it?

I mean Kanu can have plenty of bd flushes that check the turn and lead river.......he prolly doesnt have many straights.

dunno - what the worst hand he should call with?

hcj: i think im actually just tilted by how dumb scout is to donate so often/so long time.
02-16-2012 , 08:50 PM
Justify it all you want, it's some bull**** and they should be ashamed of themselves. They're making tons of money off scout but I wouldn't trade that for self-respect

flame away idc

scout wants to play, they want to play scout. flipping sounds like an easy way to decide who gives up his seat
02-16-2012 , 09:19 PM
My thought bubble on scout is....

It shows that poker is about money.

Which is ok or exploitative or w/e

Whereas Viktor is about competition..

People have a different attitude like where is the respcet for money or awesome he takes everyone on like an awesome prize fighter.

Of course both have what appears scant regard for the value of money as far as I can tell.

obviously scout is rich as hell, he must know hes bad and doesnt care... he just wants to have fun, so let him have fun... even if someone offered to buy his account for 5mill hed prob say no, he doesnt care about $ dont u ppl understand?

i useda think scout should play 2/4c but he must enjoy playing big and getting the fame, after all he prob reads everything about him and laughs.

I like the prizefighter comparison. Going with it,

Isildur = Fritzie Zivic. Not the prettiest record but won a lot more than he lost and beat some of the all time best.

Bumhunters = Brian Nielsen. Pretty record, but no substance.

you sound like a losing player making up reasons as to why he doesn´t "WANT" to win really lol.

seriously though, a huge fish wants to get in the game and they go out of their ways to make it happen. it´s called customer service, baby. they may be doing it for very selfish reasons, but i don´t think there´s anything wrong with that at all. and trust me, you would do the same if you had the chance (there´s a very good chance poker is not for you if you wouldn´t).

also, let´s not forget that while scout is a huge whale, he doesn´t play higher than 50/100. guy probably took a month to lose what scout lost in like 5 years. seems like it´s play money to him so just leave him alone.
02-17-2012 , 12:49 AM
I'm just saying that if I knew a degen spewing away millions at poker I wouldn't chase him relentlessly, collude so that he gets into the game, and quit as soon as he leaves. Is that such a strange thing?

Changing the topic.... this is what Ilari should have done last night after about 150 of the 500k was gone

Maybe I'm naive, I don't really care if its undo-able I just mostly wanted to say that people screaming "collusion" are out of their minds
insta-leaving when the fish busts is a separate issue, that's obv bad for the games

The thing is both guys asking for HU would probably be ok with a fish sitting in. If they perceive sirens to be better than them it's in their interest to ask him not to sit and it's in his interest to sit.

I remember sauce having this problem. ppl often asking for HU at 6-max tables when it's more likely they are just starting a game and don't want a tough player in it. Sauce just decided that he was going to sit in.

Just saying, I don't think it's always quite as clear cut as it might seem and possibly not as bad form as it appears at first glance.
