That book is one of the best, it does not suck. What he's saying is that in practice you can fold more than MDF because when you call you'll be OOP without initiative most of the time and won't be able to continue post flop.
But I'm fairly sure that at some point around 72% it just becomes too much.
The explanation of HUD stats conundrum seems reasonable if it's true.

Always wondered how somebody who is so successful at trading could potentially lose at poker but it makes all sense now. He 3bets superwide bc hes seeing autoprofitspots everywhere bc of a wrong stat.

I always thought it was because he doesn't invest anywhere near the time and energy toward improving at poker compared to the pros he's playing against.
