Now you must give details. You may omit name/tournament details but we would like some expansion please

Anyone know what stakes he plays cash (since it seems a few are familiar with him)?

Yes, but I would certainly not call his tournament track record as 'cleaning up in tournaments across the country' though. A break even to slightly profitable tourney player is just that, slightly profitable. Far cry from cleaning up in tourneys. Zinno last year, Coleman two years ago, O'Dwyer this year, are all cleaning up in tourneys, not Joe just yet. I certainly was not 'hating' on him, just pointing out the embellishment of the article, that's all. Everyone who actually knows him seems to have good things to say about him.

2 snickers/4 snickers is a pretty big game if it's NL. A 100bb stack = 400 snickers bars. Imagine that the game gets deep. You're sitting on top pair no kicker on a dry board and a tricky/aggressive opponent (double murderer whose clever testimony allowed him to escape harsher penalties) overbets the pot on the river for just over 800 snickers after turn went check-check. Could you make that call for all your prison commissary items?

Timely catch at final table

"In a stretch that saw no eliminations, Reddick was able to pull ahead of Jattin before the hand of the tournament went down. At Level 37 (250,000/500,000/50,000), Jattin and Reddick got in a preflop raising war that ended with Jattin six-bet shoving 21.5 million and Reddick calling with two kings. Jattin, however, had aces, but instead of taking an insurmountable lead, he busted in fifth when Reddick found a king on the turn.

Having the rest of the table covered at that point, Reddick easily rolled over Bral, Hector Chevalier, and finally Almog Biton to secure his first live win. "
good for jattin they weren't deeper though, if he had to face joe's 8ball game he'd been in trouble

i read through lots of haters ??? was in feds 5 years myself worked out read books played cards 16 hours a day myself, most street drug dealers (like myself) are good dudes overall but chose to hustle for money out of desperation with that said playing cards in prison w/intimidating guys gangsters , killers , etc. can really help your reads at least it helped me to this day in live format. i mean think about it you play cards everyday all day for years with con artists and schiesty individuals and trust me some of that helped this guy get where he is ...good for him!

So an ex con actually makes something of himself instead of returning to crime like the 85%. I hope he takes down the wsop. This is the true face of poker.

So I was at the final table. Joe kind of owned me when he got the chip lead. He was generally quiet the whole tournament but laughed a few times at my jokes. Nice guy all around and some of the people seemed to know him at the table. He shook my hand after he knocked me out.

The only funny anecdote was in the beginning the staff wouldn't let him go by his nickname Joe black when they announced his name.

I was playing in a MTT tournament at the Borgata about 50 feet away from the final table that Joe was playing on. It's a very large room (probably 4 separate tournaments going on in the room at this point) with a "featured table" setup on the back wall - cameras, attractive announcer, and commentators off on another wall. This was about two weeks ago. My friend knows him as "Parx Joe" and noted he's a good and well respected player. Probably didn't know his backstory about the Snickers bars.

In any event, my friend and I were walking through the casino later that night (after Joe had won the tournament) and saw him betting small...roughly $100...at a craps table. For those who know Borgata, the closest table to B Bar...the sort of circular bar in the middle of the casino.

We quietly admired his small ball after such a big score. "He's just having a good time at the casino."

Joe plays in the underground poker scene in NYC. Solid cash game player. But the source was the NY Post which tends to over exaggerate their stories...
