At what point does gossip become legal defamation? PW was walking this line in his posts. When you publish unsubstantiated things that can affect someone's income or reputation that can be libel.

The posts that PW made:
- Claimed Dan Coleman was too close with another player's gf in public.
- Claimed Pokerstars was allowing "hundreds" of US players to play inside the states.
- Insinuated, and got many others to foolishly insinuate in spiteful ways that Negreanu is gay, (as if it matters) and guilty of something shady.
I think that all of these things in their own way fit the legal criteria.
Did Dnegs, Stars, or Coleman suffer as a doubt of PW's ambiguous diatribes? Almost certainly not. Will they suffer in the future? Highly unlikely.
Should mods be crushing anything that has a libelous/defaming nature to it? I think so.
Gossip is one matter, but "gossip" that can potentially end a sponsorship deal, make a company look negligent, or break up relationships is not just gossip anymore.
