To your point that there are some LAG players who have been falsely overrated, you are of course accurate MM. However, I disagree wholeheartedly that ABD TAG players have higher win rates. From a low stakes perspective, an ABC TAG player is certainly going to be a winner, but is also going to miss out on several opportunities that a more intelligent LAG player is going to capitalize on which increases win rate. From a higher stakes perspective, an ABC player is practically playing with her/her cards face up, and is even more exploitable by a superior player.
I highly doubt that any of the top handful of cash game players would fit your description of ABC, unimaginative, TAG players.
