Source: I have this from a Dutch pro (cashed in this year's WSOP for 100+k).

Background: Rocky runs a 20-40NL game near Amsterdam where the rake is capped at 250 Euro and most players buy in for 5-10K.

Rocky and the players from the aforementioned cash game went to the EPT in Barcelona. One of them cashed in 14th place.

Rocky and Johnny Chan played 2 SnGs for 100K. Rocky won both. A 300/600NL game was then stated with Rocky Johnny Chan, and a Scandinavian pro (in a private suite) who's Identity I do not no. Apparently Rocky 2-outered a pot for 250K Euro+ which put him almost 500k ahead as of yesterday.

Rocky is a poor player, but a lucky guy apparently this week.

The sick part is I was thinking, damn, huge rake. Over 6 BB's in rake...then I thought about my own game, 25NL lol. The cap is 12 BB on most sites, unreal.

(Obviously the fact that edges against weaker players in 25NL are usually much larger than those in 20-40, plus rakeback, makes it not really a fair comparison; still makes ya think though.)

I can't imagine this is actually true, but yeah, I've heard $15 a hand in Aruba and a few other places.

Played in Sweden mate and the rake was 10% no max in a PLO game.

The rake at 250 is true, I have a friend that deals the game sometimes; he gets 4% of the juice for doing so and leaves with 600 Euro for his night's work sometimes.

I can't give you much more info. about the game, the people that run it, or the participants since I know they are not so keen on publicity.

Why would you ever get stuck with that kind of rake in Toronto? Between the Unit, Beaches, etc, $15 is unheard of here.

You don't think EVERY hand is raked at the max 250 Euros, do you?

Surely the hands where somebody steals the blinds preflop don't get raked 250 E's..

He would deal about 6-8 hours at around 15-20 hands/hr, I'm not sure what % of hands get the cap but it's surely not all.

I wouldn't play that in a private suite with unknown( especially for high-stakes ) , where U have no garantee of any "cheat" or whatever.

I play NL400 to 1000, so rake is between .30BB to .75BB and then you remove bonuses, rakeback, etc. I can't believe they play for 6 BB, unreal.
