Both CC and DP's bankroll challenges do not emulate the mental game that is faced by those who are trying to spin their first $50 to $10,000. DP and CC both opting to "take breaks" to play high stakes events and both also have $1m + in the bank... This does not emulate a person trying to spin $50 to $10,000 in real life. Either do the challenge from start to finish or it doesn't count IMHO.

There is a guy called "London Hackz" on youtube who did a collab called "living in London with no money" where him and a friend literally did this for 7 days. Similar to this, i'd much rather see a "Grinding $50 to $10,000, whilst living on $50 RL a week." series where the grinders are literally bankrolled $50, and get $50 a week to live on + if needed they can take profits from their bankroll for food and bills. It would be much more real and representative to the journey micro grinders have to beat.

I do not discredit the technical skills demonstrated by both of CC and DP in their BR challenges but they dont really emulate the mental game requirements.

Anyone starting out with a $50 bankroll and who eventually wants to have any real shot at making it in poker, is going to have to have another source of income or have some kind of stable living situation like college or parents basement or something.

i think putting micro grinders in a boiler room has potential. especially with some nordic flair.
