The overwhelming consensus seems to be that he's a great player. The hoopla is over things like claiming math is idiotic - and meaning it - and using Doug as a stepping stool for his new business.

I'm not so sure... He had a short rant about variance where he laid out his belief that the energy state you assume with your mentality effects how you will run. He "couldn't give us his data points" and had to leave it at that, but I can only assume it's a quantum physics argument where he believes his current reality is interacting with what's going on in the 5th+ dimensions.

If that's his belief wrt variance I don't see why he wouldn't integrate the same ideas into his real time decision making at the tables rather than rely predominantly on math.

He has a deep mind, and solves his positions in real time. He is more GTO than he wants to admit. I think his best message is to stay creative. He has lots of other opinions that are silly, however.

You don't have to believe in pseudo science to believe that emotional/mental momentum will work itself out into real world momentum. It's just basic human mechanics from the neuron to where the rubber meets the rode. It sounds like he's not that much into neuroscience and the like and doesn't explain himself well.

Honestly watching some highlights from his stream, his play seems insane for high stakes:

Opening 85o on button, calling xr on k97 monotone board w 8h flush draw and then calling off
Xring Q4o on 2107k with only the 4 as the potential flush blocker if it comes in
3betting J10o HJ v MP

These aren't standard deviations and definitely not "exploits" in the sense of him having a read on a player or notes to back this up, it's just sheer lunacy.

There's emotional momentum in everything we do. Just think of with someone with an optimistic outlook will have with serotonin, dopamine and nor epinephrine flowing thru their brain and the benefits they have over someone who is in a state of fear, depression or anger. You're literally intoxicated on another chemical and have differing momentum and outcomes with each.

I like the stream but the constant right clicking every 5 seconds make it somewhat unwatchale... if it's OCD then just cut it out or you're not fit to stream if its mac issues then just fix it?

i watched his bankroll challenge video up until video 5 or so then he went full ****** in a video und did this high voice talking like a child thing for like 50% of the video it was so annoying i havent watched him again
