I know some employees at the Empire for a long time, I know what is up. I used to play the Vic monkey game in it's golden day downstairs so I know my way about London poker.

London poker used to be better (more lucrative) when it was monopolized by the vic, now the action is spread too thin and there are too many new unprofessional thieving people. The dealers at the vic used to be the best in the world and ran a tight ship in the big pl games. Now there are only horrible dealers across the spectrum of rooms, and they are put there by incompetent staff who are dishonest a lot of the time.
The Empire is far from perfect but I've played 1300 hours there and never witnessed anything shady.
TBH London poker rooms are miles behind Vegas' in terms of promotions, rake, dealers, comps and overall feeling and customer service. If we are talking about London, well, the Empire could significantly improve but it's been a good place to play small stakes.
It seems that some of you guys have an anti-Empire agenda. However, I completely agree they should be clear about how the jackpot drop is distributed.

How does anyone have an anti-Empire agenda? This is some disgraceful **** they are trying to pull. We have an agenda firmly against disgraceful ****. You haven't even mentioned how they stole from customers, just talked about how they should be clearer about how they are stealing from them. You are the one with an agenda here. Do you work for the Empire?

I remember Dan Hardy being introduced on the UFC as being from Lie-chester, England.

Yeah nothing shady at the Empire at all. Apart from blatant collusion, dealers who allow regs to abuse and angle shoot non-regs to their hearts content plus the massive breach of data protection laws to allow cctv footage of the BBJ being won in the first place.

And yeah - the Vic is not the greatest but it is run competently. So there or the International.

Just like pretty much everything (and everyone LOL) in that tourist-trap area (Leicester Square), avoid like the plague.

so has anyone else noticed the dealers skimming the pots?

after the semi-refit do they have cctv now?

and yes I have noticed how the regs angle like f**k and just keep getting away with it ... oh and I have seen the most blatant collusion ever.

One chap all in preflop gets called by two regs. Reg 1 to reg 2 'let's just check it down' reg 2 'ok'

Then they did.

If this happened to me - and I call for a ruling pre flop after they have said this, what would happen ... and what should happen???

Nobody plays at the empire for their sterling service or upstanding policies. You play at the empire cause the games are softer than a .01/.02 cap plo game online. Guys never fold. I have played there quite a bit and have seen them both cater to regs and make terrible floor decisions numerous times. Most of the dealers are pretty cool, but I could def. see a couple of them trying to pull some shady stuff. However, if you keep your eyes open, its money in the bank. I will continue to play there despite the bs, because most casinos in the world are shady as is. It is who was the juiciest games that makes it palatable.

I mentioned this situation to the floor manager when I first saw this thread in December, and was told that they had heard of the rumours/discussions circulating on the internet. I was also told that the accusations were baseless and that the BBJ was indeed accounted for and the information was available.

This is, of course, not a meaningful proof of anything. And I definitely did not follow it up, besides to say to myself that if London Clubs International/Harrahs UK is publicly traded, their year-end books should be available somewhere. But it does indicate that to some degree, some of the staff were aware that the BBJ-accounting was being questioned.

And yes, I know, this reply doesn't provide anything new. Of course they're going to say that everything's accounted for.
