as other high stakes players have mentioned blom naturally picks up and crushes new games much easier than others just doesn't seem to put in the of table work as much as others do.

Question for Doug regarding Educa's course. Did it connect dots for you to allow you to see the gap between where you were when you were grinding a 1BB/100 win rate at six max and how the top 6 max players see the game?

figuring stuff out through trial and error isn't natural talent, wtf didn't you notice that blom plays more than anyone else?

99.9999 % of all poker players, playing as many hands as blom and not studying the game away from the tables, would never get nearly as good as him. Maybe nobody would.

whoever is sitting nosebleeds obv doesn't really matter for the rankings, doesn't katya18 "hold" 200k-400knl a lot and he's not even top 5

I think highest WR with decent volume over past 3 months at 5k-10knl is probably the easiest/most relevant metric if you want something simple

Nothing but respect for Sauce but this is a very flawed way to gauge the best 6max players. This method is much more likely to identify the strongest Headsup players who also play 6max. Not the same thing.

yeah I mean past 3 months at 5k-10k NL is usually not more than like 15-20k hands for those who grinds the most

usually the very top players (like top 3) sit everyone on 5k. but some sitters are actually not that good, it's just that they have deep pockets and are willing to play in high variance, slightly ev- games for hours against better players, just to hold the lobby. (usually because the contenders can't/don't want to play in high risk/low return games)

having said all this, rankings are obv just a dick measuring contest and it depends completely on how you determine the rankings. approximations are obv possible, as in, all the players in the list are very good, but who is number 1 or number 5 is quite arbitrary.

The best way to know who are the best players is just to ask one of them, that's why Educa is relevant.
The problem being that he hasn't been around for a while so his ranking might be outdated.
